Dear Community,
We want to express our sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm you've shown for The Backrooms: Realm of Shadows. Your dedication has allowed us to create an experience that we are incredibly proud of. Today, we would like to share some important news regarding the future of the game.
After careful consideration and evaluation of various factors, we have decided to transition The Backrooms: Realm of Shadows from a free-to-play model to a paid one. To make this Transition possible we have added a New DLC called "Full Version". This means without the DLC you can only Play Level 0 and Level 1 and then you need to buy the DLC. If you bought the Game before we made it Free, you can contact us via Email with a proof of Purchase and you will get a Key for the DLC.
We understand that this shift may raise questions, and we want to provide you with a transparent explanation of the reasons behind this decision.
Quality Enhancement
Moving to a paid model enables us to allocate additional resources to enhance the overall quality of the game. This includes investing in advanced graphics, improved gameplay mechanics, and an even more immersive experience. Your support will directly contribute to making "The Backrooms: Realm of Shadows" an even more polished and enjoyable game.
Ongoing Development and Support
The transition to a paid model ensures a sustainable future for the game, allowing us to provide ongoing updates, bug fixes, and new content. This approach ensures a consistent and high-quality gaming experience, as we can dedicate more resources to addressing community feedback and evolving the game based on your input.
Professionalism and Commitment
Requiring a payment for the game reflects our commitment to delivering a professional and dedicated gaming experience. This allows us to focus on continuous improvement, respond promptly to community needs, and maintain a level of excellence in all aspects of the game.
Long-Term Viability
By transitioning to a paid model, we are securing the long-term viability of "The Backrooms: Realm of Shadows." This ensures that we can sustain the servers, support the game's infrastructure, and provide ongoing service to our community. Your contribution will directly support the growth and stability of the game.
We understand that this transition may be unexpected, and we want to assure you that it was not a decision made lightly. We value your support and hope that you will continue to be a part of the Backrooms community as we work together to make "The Backrooms: Realm of Shadows" an even more remarkable and enduring gaming experience.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to the continued journey through the mysterious realms of the Backrooms.
Sincerely,
Cyprus Games Development Team
