Hello, dear residents!
This is NINEHECTARE!
First of all, I’d like to apologize for being unable to roll out the update alongside the discount period due to my mistake.
Thankfully, we managed to complete the update before the weekend, and I’m excited to share the details with you!
With the 2.1 patch, gameplay has become much more stable, and the game now boasts a level of polish comparable to other top-tier titles.
This incredible achievement was made possible thanks to your unwavering support.
I sincerely thank you all!
Below are the major changes:
[Improvements]
Increased Visibility for Damage Numbers
Previously, damage numbers were displayed only in white. Now, they appear in different colors depending on the type of damage and attack!
New Graphic Options
To support a variety of setups, from the trending Steam Deck to low-spec PCs, we’ve added new graphic quality settings!
Steam Cloud Save Support
Save data can now be shared between PC and Steam Deck via Steam Cloud, allowing seamless transitions between devices!
New Costumes
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, two cheongsam-style costumes have been added!
You can also obtain new outfits for Clovis and Ragnar!
Rework of the Black Serpentes Temple
The Black Serpentes Temple is a place designed for endless challenges. Now, each retry of the final round will increase the enemies’ HP, attack power, and drop rate by 100%!
Improved Furniture Crafting
Furniture, which was previously classified only as indoor or outdoor, has now been divided into five distinct types.
Additionally, we’ve standardized the size and movement options for all furniture items for easier use!
Enhanced Storage System
Items stored in Hagenith’s storage can now be used directly for alchemy.
Furthermore, furniture like refrigerators, wardrobes, and drawers can now store additional items, and all storage units are interconnected for easier inventory management!
Improved Item Pickup Animation
The responsiveness when picking up items has been greatly improved!
Addition of Pumpkin Crops
You can now officially grow and harvest pumpkins in GRAYHAVEN!
Pumpkins are primarily used for crafting furniture and as ingredients for cooking.
New Tutorial Quests
Small quests have been added to introduce players to the life content of GRAYHAVEN!
Village Teleportation
With the help of Dayna’s familiar, Ruchi Pumpkin, you can now teleport to key locations in GRAYHAVEN!
[Bug Fixes]
- Fixed an issue where holding the left mouse button wouldn’t trigger attacks correctly.
- Resolved an issue where some floor textures were broken.
- Fixed a bug where Chinese fonts appeared as squares.
- Addressed an error where inputs were disabled after dialogues.
- Corrected the overly bright lighting issue in dungeons.
Like many other game developers, I was once an avid gamer myself.
The joy and excitement I experienced while gaming were the driving forces behind my decision to venture into game development.
However, as I stepped into the developer’s role, I came to realize that the seemingly effortless and enjoyable elements of a game are, in fact, the result of countless hours of thought and effort.
After the disappointing launch of GRAYHAVEN, we have successfully made substantial improvements with the 2.1 update. Going forward, we’ll focus on enhancing convenience features and enriching the game with more side quests to create a fuller experience.
Initially, we aimed for monthly updates during the Early Access period. However, we realized that a monthly schedule did not provide adequate time for development and QA. We believe this is something you, our players, can understand as well. 🥲
As such, we’ve decided to shift to seasonal updates.
Each update will bring significant, dramatic changes to the game, and we’re excited to continue growing and evolving together!
The next season is summer, and we believe GRAYHAVEN needs a stunning beach and even more swimwear. We’ll be back with an exciting event in the next summer update!
Thank you so much for enjoying our game and for all your support~
