Gray Haven has officially launched!
Normally, game launches come with grand visions and detailed roadmaps. But first and foremost, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
We did it, and so did you.
We’ve officially launched this game!
To everyone who played our buggy, tangled code, to our team members, and to the endlessly supportive community,
I want to express my sincerest gratitude once again.
Honestly, there were times we didn’t think this game would ever be completed.
If anything, we expected it to end up being 20 times worse than it is now.
Especially back in 2022, when the collapse of the metaverse bubble and the sudden decrease in funding threw our original project into chaos (it was a "Cute Girls + Minecraft" concept).
Then in 2023, a fire destroyed our office, causing us to lose everything, and team members started leaving. That’s when we entered Early Access at our absolute lowest point.
The past year and a half has been nothing short of painful.
Critical bugs were constant, our goals seemed impossibly far away, and Steam reviews steadily declined.
Support turned to doubt, and when even I started losing faith, it was the community that saved us once again.
Seeing all of you recommending our unfinished game and endlessly providing feedback gave us hope.
It showed us that, despite its flaws, this game still had potential.
By sheer luck, we got a chance to secure additional funding, and with advice from one of our participating illustrators, we decided to try creating an adult version of the game.
The results were far beyond what we expected!
At the same time, through sheer persistence, we managed to upgrade our game from "garbage" to something closer to "code spaghetti!"
The support we received from the community, as well as from people in countries like Japan and Spain, gave us and our team an incredible sense of motivation.
And finally, today, we’ve launched the game!
Of course, our game isn’t perfect.
But we’ve achieved our initial goals, and we’re especially thrilled to have been able to add a significant amount of adult content!
I apologize for not having a grand roadmap or eloquent words to share.
We’ve been working for 52 hours straight, starting Tuesday and now heading home on Friday morning.
It feels like my mind is covered in fog right now.
As for what’s next? Honestly, I don’t know.
All I feel at this moment is joy, a sense of accomplishment,
and overwhelming gratitude toward all of you.
But there’s one thing I can promise:
We’ll keep fixing bugs, and we’ll keep adding more adult illustrations.
This miraculous achievement was made possible entirely thanks to your support.
I hope our game has brought you even a little bit of joy.
Now, I’ll take a little nap.
Thank you!
