Hi all - Austin here!
I've been decompressing post-Next Fest. It really is a ton of work trying to market a game yourself holy cow. Lots of videos/GIFs, posting, networking, making press lists. But I think it was worth it! I played some demos in Next Fest - figured I should since I was in it 😂 . I really liked Beastieball!
Right now the game sits just under 1000 Steam wishlists (!) and will likely get there in the next few weeks as wishlists stabilize post-fest.
Next up is continuing design work for the Zahar Desert. This level focuses on technique and close-quarters combat. The level starts with a miniboss right out of the gates: Al-Qaum. This video-projecter-looking mech will be a fun intro to the level. Al-Qaum will sometimes use the trees around the area to supplement their attacks on Soraya!
I'm excited to get to work on the rest of the game!
