After seeing how much people liked exploring the environments in our game - we realized that adding items around each level would be a perfect reward for the curious player. This is a popular mechanic in horror games, so we knew it would add value to our game loop.
In additional to lore notes and ammo, our latest item is the Upgrade Node, which players find when they search in hidden areas of each level.
You'll also be able to find Upgrade Benches around the game where you can spend your Upgrade Nodes to improve your guns.
In other news, we’ve added two new weapons alongside the pistol: an SMG and a Hand Cannon for dealing with heavily armored enemies.
The Corpse Shifter and Henchmen are also getting overhauls—with new behaviors and animations to create more varied, horror-inspired combat and visually dynamic encounters.
