Hello everyone!
The last time I posted an update to steam was back in July. Seems like forever ago! Over that time, I have made a significant change to Metropolis 1998. The game is now "3D"! Meaning, buildings now have multiple floors, though the game is still 2D under the hood and is still using the same engine.
I have been busy with other smaller updates too:
- Added rooftop rooms
- Buildings can (almost) be placed freely/wildly, ignoring physics (the game has no physics)
- Buildings can now bridge across roads
- Can duplicate floors at the click of a button
- The (optional) lighting engine has been activated
- Can place indoor items outdoors, and outdoor items inside
- Day/Night cycle
- Units will operate on a schedule. With move occasionally while home or at work (but not when they're sleeping)
- Added ability to demolish an entire property in one click
- Added new businesses
- Fixed a bunch of bugs/crashes. More QOL features
Once the demo is available, I'll post another steam announcement with more media.
