Hello everyone!
This is the FromDawn Games team coming at you with Volume 10 of the Aeruta developer’s log!
The weather this July has been… intense.
If we’re not being toasted like burnt toast under the blazing sun, we’re getting completely soaked by sudden typhoons and torrential rain. The air is humid and sticky, and just walking a few steps feels like stepping out of a steamer… 💦
Amidst this hot and hectic month, we’ve reached a major milestone —
the successful completion of our Rapier Playtest! 🎉
A huge thank you to all the players who joined in.
Your feedback has been incredibly valuable and will help us refine the rapier
so that it shines with style in the full release ⚔️✨
In this dev diary, we’ll give you a peek at our latest progress and reveal some (possibly thrilling?) new content.
And of course! We'll wrap up with the promised Q&A section to answer your burning questions!
Let’s take a look together~ 📸✨
Entering the Forbidden Zone: Unveiling the Truth...
A once-bustling town now lies in ruins. As you delve deeper into the remains, the scenery shifts from lush greenery to landscapes corroded by decay. What kind of catastrophe befell this forbidden land? What fate does it reveal? Perhaps what lies ahead is a story of regret, forgotten pain, and intertwining destinies...
Chilala's Major Breakthrough: A Brand-New Badge Appears! 💗
After rigorous testing and countless tweaks, Chilala has finally broken through her limits and crafted a brand-new, powerful badge! Whether you're a brave brawler or a tactical controller, you’ll find new ways to build your playstyle. Experiment freely and create a combat style all your own!
More Inventions!? The Genius Researcher Returns! ✨
The genius Chilala, once a sensation at the capital’s academy, is back with her wild creativity! 💥 This time, she’s applying a brand-new concept to weapons themselves… Yes — a whole new system is quietly taking shape! (Please kindly ignore that suspicious-looking contraption for now…) This system is still under development, but we hope it brings new surprises to your adventure. Stay tuned!
Q&A – Round Two
- Q1：The Rapier Playtest was fun! Will there be a chance to try other bosses? Thanks for the love! Unfortunately, the Rapier Playtest has officially wrapped up ⚔️ But our next test will be a bigger build, with much more content — stay tuned!
- Q2：Some badges feel too powerful. Will they be adjusted? Absolutely! We’re reviewing all the feedback and will be tuning the stats for badges and weapons. We aim to make every playstyle fun, balanced, and full of variety!
- Q3： Will the Watersong minigame get new tracks? We never expected the minigame to be such a hit! 😳 While our current focus is still on the main game’s development, we’ll seriously consider updating tracks or even adding new minigames in the future!
- Q4：Is the "teacher" mentioned by Kocori and Tyreenss actually Effie's ancestor? Very sharp guess — yes! Here’s a little secret: Effie's tribe is the last surviving clan of white bears on the continent… and deeply tied to past events…
- Q5：Will there be more new characters? Definitely! We’re also adding quirky side characters, like the mysterious unseen postman, a powerful guild leader, and... ◯◯◯◯◯（secret for now 👀）
That wraps up this month’s dev diary!
Answering your questions was a blast — many of your perspectives were ones we hadn’t considered, and the whole team felt inspired! 😲✨
We’ve also received many questions about the full release.
While there’s still a ways to go, we’ve started our first phase of testing and are steadily moving forward.
Maybe once the summer heat dies down a bit, we’ll be ready for the next Playtest, bringing us even closer to launch! 💪
Finally, thank you again to everyone who participated in the Rapier Playtest!
We received tons of helpful survey responses — many players mentioned concerns about control complexity, unclear descriptions, and overall balance…
Don’t worry, we’re already working on these improvements! 💪🦊
Please hang in there a bit longer — we’ll keep baking up the best breadventure yet! 🍞
That’s all for the tenth development diary.
See you all next month! 🦊💨
