Preparing for battle in Heroes & Generals will not be just a question of what uniform to wear – soon you will also need to pick the right helmet for your outfit.
No need to worry ... Heroes & Generals is not about to become a fashion simulator!
However, the upcoming update 1.09 ‘Battle Flow’ will introducing nine new helmet paints for infantry soldiers.
The update has two cool looking painted steel helmets and one variant with a camouflage pattern for each faction. All the new helmets can be combined with the uniform of your choice.
Helmet paints promotes team spirit
“I imagine a lot of WW2 helmet paints being something created out of necessity – soldiers finding themselves in surroundings where their issued helmets stood out like a sniper target," says character artist Reto.Mato who designed all nine new helmet paints:
"Maybe they borrowed some paint from the tank mechanic to darken their helmets and make them match the foliage. Maybe even painting stuff like skulls and such on the helmets to strike fear into the enemy.”
“I also really like the idea of soldiers perhaps using helmet paints as comradery – using the paint to show team spirit and friendship,” tells Reto.Mato before diving into some upcoming helmet designs for a future update.
