Hey Explorers!
We’re back with the fourth Everwind Devlog—and this one’s packed. From multiplayer gameplay to new biomes, building features, and a look into performance upgrades, there’s a lot to dive into. Let’s explore what’s new!
🛡️ Multiplayer – Team Up & Take to the Skies
Everwind is best experienced together. Whether you're splitting up tasks, exploring ruins, or just sipping tea above the clouds, multiplayer turns the skies into shared adventures.
• Up to 4 players can join a session via a simple invite code
• Peer-to-peer hosting means one player creates the world, and others sync up
• Emotes & in-game chat let you wave, point, pose, and communicate easily
• Coordinated teamwork = better loot and epic moments!
In the future, we’re planning to support dedicated servers so you can play any time, even without the original host online.
🕰️ Day & Night Cycle – Stay Sharp After Dark
Everwind features a dynamic day & night cycle that affects gameplay. Nighttime exploration is riskier—so don’t forget your torch!
🏗️ Building – More Than Just Blocks
Say goodbye to cube-only construction. Our shape selector lets you build with wedges, sloped roofs of various shapes and more.
Whether it’s a sleek airship or a cozy cabin, create your perfect base.
• Snap-together parts for smooth builds
• Hundreds of furniture & decor items to make it feel like home
• New “connecting” blocks like fences auto-snap to fit naturally
• Color lighting and dyeable options coming soon
• Try Sandbox Mode to unlock everything and build without limits!
⚔️ Weapons – New Additions to Your Arsenal
We’ve added new weapons—and they’re anything but ordinary.
• Spears offer long reach and tactical versatility
• Mechanical weapons bring steampunk flair with static shock effects and custom animations
• Crafted by “Steamers,” these armaments add variety and strategy to combat
Plenty more weapon types are on the way, and we can’t wait to see what you pick as your favorite.
🌍 Biomes – Four New Environments to Explore
We’ve introduced four stunning new biomes that expand the world and add new challenges:
🦴 Swamp Biome
Catacombs, cemeteries, and flooded ruins filled with undead. Expect eerie atmospheres and ancient treasure.
🔥 Savanna Biome
A dried-out land once teeming with life, now cracked and silent. Undead roam underground citadels hidden beneath the scorched earth.
🍂 Deciduous Forest
A lush twist on our classic forest. Different trees, animals, and dungeon entrances ruled by ancient skeleton lords.
☣️ Rotten Forest Biome
Toxic, twisted, and thick with fungal decay. Explore overgrown industrial ruins to uncover lost tech and upgrade your abilities.
Each biome features its own color palette, from sky and fog to water, enhancing the visual immersion. Dungeons, ruins, and hidden lore are waiting in every region.
⚙️ Tech Upgrades – Powered by Intel XeSS 2.0
We’ve partnered with Intel to bring XeSS 2.0 and Frame Generation to Everwind. The result?
🚀 Higher FPS without heavier GPU load
🧠 AI-generated frames for smoother gameplay
📊 Up to 2x frame rate improvements on supported systems
See it in action with a side-by-side comparison, including performance gains on the MSI Claw handheld!
