Hello flatmates,
Glasshouse has officially been in Full-Production for about 4 months now and today we're going to show you some of the new stuff we've been working on, including unique camera features and environments beyond Dormitory 73B.

SIDE-SCROLLING SEQUENCES
GLASSHOUSE will feature game sections in which the camera abandons isometry in favour of a closer, more intimate perspective. This choice was mainly dictated by the desire to include narrow spaces to amplify the suffocating feeling of lockdown. Generally, narrow rooms and isometric views entail sacrifices in terms of artistry and navigability, so it was a natural process for us to opt for this camera switch. To be clearer, about 10% of Glasshouse will feature side-scrolling sections. Don't worry, we love the isometric perspective, we are not abandoning it.

Speaking of exploration, this new perspective allows us to hide clues and interactions in a completely different way than before. This camera experimentation, on the other hand, is nothing more than the expansion of the philosophy behind Cineshots, with which we already portrayed specific pivotal moments of dialogue in the Concept Demo.
We are confident that these sections will be a great tool to offer variety, both in terms of narrative and gameplay.

NEW CHARACTERS
We have three new tenants to introduce to you: Makenna, Hildebrand and Lia!
Makenna, flat 24, is almost a mother figure for our protagonist. When Godwyne died of Pitch Black, in fact, Makenna took care of her son Wealdmaer, as a promise of friendship.
Makenna is currently being modelled and you can see the progress being made below.

Hildebrand, flat 29, is a retired DCB veteran. He suffers from dementia, hates foreigners and believes he is still in service, as evidenced by his battered uniform.

Lia is a colleague from Factory No. 3, her residence is in another dormitory though, the 74A. Her presence in 73B is not welcome. Below is a first draft (not final).

BEYOND THE DORMITORY
Through the Old Canals of Lundonstoch, it will be possible to reach the surface of Wynstann's Quarter 73 and open the doors of the Weird Wires, the Abandoned Theatre. After countless changes of management, the contract for the Weird Wires was illegally taken away by the Percival Consortium, a criminal organisation suspected to be at the helm of the CoFoPo terrorist union.

For Wealdmaer, the Weird Wires is a temple of memories, a stage where one can be anyone, anywhere. Even now, in the night, Wealdmaer will wander the glorious corridors of that possible future, together with his late father Godwyne.

From the Fiefdom of Lundonstoch it's all, the FLAT28 Collective is back at work.
Thank you all, see you soon!
