NEW FEATURES
Chess960 (Fischer Random) support in the UCI engine and Lichess game modes.
(Not available in the Internal mode for now.)
Spoken move announcements. The game now announces moves, captures, checks and the final result out loud. Volume is adjustable with Page Up / Page Down and announcements can be toggled off from the board-edge UI or with the M key.
Opening display. The current opening is shown by name and ECO code (e.g. "C60 · Ruy Lopez") and updates as moves are played or taken back. Works in all three game modes.
Lichess TV: follow games in progress on Lichess — both standard chess and Chess960 matches.
Live game analysis for Lichess broadcasts. Enable "Live game analysis" from the right-side UI during a live broadcast and the engine marks its best suggested move on the board.
Piece size slider in the theme manager — fine-tune the size of the selected piece theme.
Revamped UI: 2D UI elements have been replaced with 3D elements for better immersion and a more consistent style.
Manual board setup: arrange the board freely by dragging pieces.
Lichess game list: bullet and blitz games now appear with a warning and a browser link, as they cannot be played through the game due to Lichess API limitations.
Please note: analysis tools (hints, evaluation bar, piece analysis) are not
available in Chess960 games yet, as the analysis engine does not currently
support Chess960 positions.
FIXES
- Numerous bug fixes
- Many stability improvements, especially in Lichess network traffic
A FINAL NOTE
This is a major update, so some bugs may still surface. I hope it improves
your game experience and the overall quality of the game. If you run into any
