If the game still won’t launch after updating
Hello everyone, this is the LIFUEL development team.
Recently, there was an issue where Windows Defender was forcefully deleting the game. We released an update to fix this about an hour ago (from the time of this announcement).
However, if the game still does not launch, it may be due to a caching issue.
This problem can usually be resolved simply by reinstalling the game.
Before reinstalling, we recommend backing up your save files just in case. While Steam Cloud is supported, there is a chance your saves may not have synced properly due to network issues.
Alternative methods without reinstalling
Clear Steam Download Cache
Open the Steam client
In the top menu, click Steam
Open Settings
On the left, select Downloads
Click Clear Download Cache
Steam will restart and you will need to log in again.
This will clear cached data related to downloads, which can help if the game executable was cached incorrectly.
Verify Integrity of Game Files
In your Steam Library, right-click the game → select Properties
Go to the Installed Files tab
Click Verify integrity of game files…
This will replace the game executable with the latest version.
We apologize for the inconvenience. If the issue persists even after following the above steps, please report it to us. It may be a different problem, and we will investigate and fix it immediately with another update.
