We just released update 0.9.1 in preparation for Steam Next Fest that's starting on Monday.
This update introduces a new tutorial video for new player, kick options for the party leader to remove unwanted or disconnected players from the game, and lots of smaller fixes.
Changes:
- Added a Tutorial Video to the game, which the Party Leader can start while in the Lobby Screen.
- The Party Leader now has a kick function to remove unwanted or disconnected players from the game.
- Kicked players will now be taken over by AI for the remainder of the game, to prevent games from getting stuck when a player has to leave or is unable to rejoin.
- Replaced “-4 Population” with “all scores x1.25” in Earth’s final question of Virus Stage 1.
- Increased the length of Virus Vaccines Stage by approximately 4 questions.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue where World Leaders wouldn’t always get at least one question in Virus Vaccines Stage.
- Fixed an issue where some research tracks were unclear.
- Fixed an issue where “Funding received” for Scientists showed 0 when 4 funding was received.
- Fixed an issue where a news item voiceover was partially cut off.
- Fixed an issue where the answer types for Scientists' negative ability targeting World Leaders would occasionally be incorrect.
- Fixed an issue where the wrong News Item was sometimes shown in Virus Stage 2.
- Fixed an issue where the icon would indicate players would receive score instead of lose score when bidding on the Crisis (blue squares instead of red squares).
