To increase game performances, debug logs are now disabled by default. If you wish to enable debug logs again (for bug reports or customer service), please add the “-rivalslog” launch option.
To decrease the amount of stutters on low-end and mid-end PCs, on the Title Screen many assets will now be warmed, which builds your shader cache in the process.
Please note that if you change some graphic quality settings, if you wish to build your shader cache for these new quality settings you will need to restart the game, since this process only runs on the Title Screen for the time being.
Please note that this is the first part of our work on improving stuttering issues. Although our testing shows a big improvement (<3% stutters), we are aware that not all stuttering will be solved by this first part.
This first part is fully DX11 compatible. A second part, which will leverage DX12 precaching capabilities and will propose more graphic options, will be released later for our DX12 customers.
Fixed some players being unable to get new character or event levels after claiming too many character or event rewards.
If you were affected by this issue, you might need to play one match with your highest leveled characters or events to apply the fix.
Reverted the 1.5.0 change: Outer limb hurtboxes are now unhitgrabbable instead of just ungrabbable.
This change led to some unintended interactions, like La Reina's Up Strong whiffing on opponents standing on a platform above her, so we're just reverting it.
Grabs will now win trades against articles.
Previously, the article would win, making it much harder than intended to grab.
La Reina arcade mode will now properly display achieved medals and times.
La Reina results screen character XP rewards will properly display the next level's reward.
La Reina Taunt2 works now (once unlocked at character level 3).
Neutral Special will now listen for Shield inputs during hitpause.
This fixes the issue players were having with getting empty jumps after hitting Neutral Special after patch 1.5.0.
Bug fix: Hitfalling the 3rd hit of Down Air on the same frame that it hits will now hitfall properly
Bug fix: Unicycle taunt can no longer be instantly canceled by pressing the taunt button while in the Balancing window
Bug fix: Fixed a bug where attacks that can grab articles could grab Kragg’s rock after he picked it up with Neutral Special, causing unintended interactions.
Bug fix: Fixed a bug where Neutral Special's seed was able to break projectiles.
Bug fix: Smoke clouds will no longer be destroyed if Forsburn is in the Tumble state when they spawn.
Bug fix: Smoke clouds created by the clone will no longer be destroyed if the real Forsburn is hurt when they spawn.
Bug fix: Ledge Attack now releases ledge 2 frames earlier, to match the rest of the cast
Magnetized opponents can no longer activate the critical hit effect.
Forward Special ledge grab frame moved 1 frame later.
This prevents Forward Special from refreshing ledge intangibility before it expires.
Bug fix: Forward Special will now properly adjust his hitboxes like it did before 1.5.0
Bug fix: Up Special can now land before going into special fall.
Bug fix: Up Special can now fastfall after going into special fall.
Bug fix: Aerial Down Special chains should no longer phase through the ground at very specific heights. They can still phase through the ground when Aerial Down Special is buffered from a jump.
Bug fix: Realignment Taunt IASA frame: 70 > 100
This value was much lower than intended, allowing Galvan to cancel the taunt in the middle of the action.
The chair cooldown UI will now be darkened when the chair is present but on cooldown.
She can now angle her Neutral Special chair toss by tilting the joystick vertically as well as horizontally (in the same way that Loxodont can).
Forward Special's arm is now projectile-intangible during the move's active frames.
This prevents it from getting hit by grabbable projectiles before being able to grab them.
Bug fix: Chairs can now trade if they hit each other instead of one randomly winning.
Bug fix: Dash Attack can no longer jump cancel if it gets parried.
