PostApo continues to evolve with Alpha Update 0.1.2 Final, bringing exciting new features, content, and improvements. Here's what's new:
ADD: Prologue
The Steam store page now features a prologue, available in both Czech and English, explaining:
• What happened, why you're there, and what you need to do.
While the illustrations do not reflect the current in-game visuals, they serve as inspiration for the game's final look.
ADD: Craftable Zone Helmet
Survival in the hazardous zone just got easier with the addition of a protective helmet:
• Duration: The helmet allows up to 5 minutes in the zone.
• Durability: It loses 0.33 durability every 3 seconds (out of 100).
• Repairs: Helmets can be repaired as long as their durability doesn't drop to zero.
ADD: Repairable Items
Key crafted items can now be repaired, ensuring extended usability and more strategic resource management.
ADD: Story and Quests
The game's story has been expanded with new quests and enhanced immersion:
• Merchant: Provides guidance on what to do, where to find items, and how to navigate the game.
• Dialogues: Ask about the story, receive tips, and learn about the world.
The story is continuously evolving, with plans for further expansion in future updates.
ADD: Voice Acting
Voiceovers have been added in both Czech and English. Although AI-generated due to budget constraints, they enhance the game's atmosphere.
• Subtitles for hearing-impaired players are in development.
ADD: Enhanced Zone Visuals
The hazardous zone now features a striking red color, intensifying the suspense and danger of exploring this area.
ADD: Wrecked Train Area
A new area has been added near a derailed train:
• This location is surrounded by anomalies and offers rich loot for those brave enough to venture in.
ADD: NPC Squatter Woman
• The Squatter NPC now reacts with voiced lines when she finds or loses track of the player.
ADD: Reworked Gravitational Spheres
Gravitational spheres have become even more terrifying and deadly anomalies:
• If the player gets dangerously close, the sphere will pull them in, resulting in destruction and instant death.
• The mechanics have been reworked to make them more realistic and challenging, adding tension while exploring the world.
ADD: Torch Crafting and Repairs
Torches can now be crafted and repaired, adding utility for exploration and survival.
ADD: Interactive Air Purifier
An interactive question mark near the air purifier provides essential usage instructions.
• Includes voiceovers, with subtitles for hearing-impaired players in development.
ADD: Trial Demo – PostApo Playtest
The PostApo Playtest – Trial Demo is now available for free on Steam:
• Players can explore the game for 120 minutes.
• The demo excludes story elements, quests, and merchant support.
FIX: Bug Fixes
