Greetings Mighty Heroes,
Let's take a closer look at Nadia and the Academy Faction today!
As mentioned in our World & Characters blogpost, Nadia is the daughter of a respected Mage of the Silver Cities, she is a powerful wizard herself.
If you aren't familiar with Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes - Definitive Edition's combat, we strongly encourage you to read our Gameplay Introduction blogpost before reading any further.
Nadia's unique spell summons lightning bolts that randomly strike the enemy's battlefield.
These units have the fastest charging time (from one to three turns) but deal the lowest damage. Academy Core Units are the following:
Apprentices
These units shoot stinging magical bolts at the enemy after one turn. They are the fastest and weakest Academy Core Unit. However, they are extremely useful to take out Elite or Champion units before they charge their attack.
Gremlins
These units shoot a magical blast at the enemy after two turns. They are the most powerful of all Academy Core Units. However, their attack deals powerful damage to the first enemy in the row and weakens as it travels further. A useful unit to take out a charging enemy (who are at the front of a row)
Golems
These units slash the enemy with their Scimitars after three turns. Powerwise, they are stronger than Apprentices but weaker than Gremlins, making them an all-around balanced unit.
These units deal more damage than Core Units but take up more space on the battlefield, making them trickier to activate. Academy Elite Units are the following:
Wizards
These units cast a bolt of lightning that spreads through any idle units it touches after four turns. If used strategically, this unit is extremely effective at thinning out enemy lines.
Djinns
These units cast an attack after three turns that freezes every attack formation for three turns. The frozen formations are extremely vulnerable to other attacks.
These units are undoubtedly the most important of your army as they deal the most damage over a large area. However, they are even larger than Elite Units and require more Core Units to activate their attack, which takes longer to charge as well. Academy Champion Units are the following:
Rakshasas
These units deliver a powerful attack on the enemy after five turns. If this attack manages to reach the enemy hero, it will deplete an equal amount of both their HP and MP, making this a useful way to prevent enemy hero spells.
Titans
These units send a powerful shockwave across the enemy's battlefield after six turns, which damages connected walls.
Phoenix
These units spit fire at the enemy after five turns. Moreover, they will resurrect Formations if they die while sites charging.
Academy walls have a base strength of 6 HP and gain 5 HP with each additional wall formed!
That's all for Nadia and the Academy Faction! Stay tuned for more advanced gameplay tips in the future!
