Psychological Horror Descends…
Enter the madness. Total Chaos, the psychological survival horror experience from Sam Prebble and Apogee Entertainment, is out now on Steam, Xbox Series X|S (including Game Pass for console, PC, and cloud), and PlayStation 5.
What began nearly 20 years ago as an award-winning DOOM II total conversion has transformed into a fully standalone nightmare, rebuilt from the ground up by the visual effects talent behind Avatar, The Hobbit, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. From the creator of Turbo Overkill, Total Chaos delivers a dread-soaked survival horror experience packed with:
FEATURES
9-Chapter Descent Into Madness: Traverse the cursed ruins of Fort Oasis across nine chapters, soaked in dread and darkness.
Grotesque Enemies: From shambling horrors to inhuman abominations, every encounter will test your sanity and survival instinct.
Brutal Combat: Engage in methodical melee and ranged combat, or build new weapons from scavenged scraps to stay alive.
Deep Inventory Management: Every bullet, bandage, and bottle counts. Choose wisely — your survival depends on it.
Haunting Soundscape: Featuring original music by Silent Hill’s legendary Akira Yamaoka, along with chilling ambient tracks by a suite of celebrated composers.
Standalone Reimagining of a Cult Classic Mod: Once a DOOM mod, now a fully realized standalone experience built by Turbo Overkill developer Sam Prebble — blending classic and modern horror sensibilities with jaw-dropping atmosphere.
Featuring a brand-new original theme by Silent Hill legend Akira Yamaoka
Joined by Total Chaos' composers Jason Dagenet & William Braddell, and Apogee’s Tim Stoney, Chipper Hammond, and Mathieu Hallouin, this soundtrack is as haunting as the island of Fort Oasis itself.
