Hello Hunters,
It's time for another huge update! We have continued our quest to improve Vampire Hunters and we hope you have a lot of fun with the new content and all the improvements we made. Your feedback and suggestions have been paramount to get to this point. We deeply appreciate it.
Let's not linger here so you can read all the goodies below and jump right back to Vampire Hunters.
New map: Yuki Vale
An ancient castle belonging to the greatest clan of oni hunters is under siege. Hunter, your mission is to defeat all the forces of the underworld present there. But be cautious, for with each passing minute, the demonic energy in that place grows stronger. Something is gaining power...
New type of enemy: Elites
They are between the normal monsters and bosses. Each elite has a unique behavior. Our idea with them was to make the gameplay more dynamic. The new map, Yuki Vale, is the apex of elite hunting, but you will find elites on all maps.
- Blue Oni
- Red Oni
- Oboroguruma
- Frozen Samurai
- Babyzilla
- Vanguard Sumotori
- Bat Pilot
Permanent Upgrades
We heard your feedback and created a new permanent upgrade system. Besides the characters' skill trees, you'll be able to upgrade your account. All characters share the same progression. We’ve created a new currency for purchasing upgrades. You receive the coins after each run, and your old saves will receive coins related to your current progress. Therefore, don't forget to visit the upgrade menu before playing again. You'll be able to upgrade the following stats:
- Damage
- Reload Speed
- Blood Ability duration
- Max HP
- Potion Heal
- Invincible Time
- Collecting Distance
- Speed
- Luck
Localization
We have localized Vampire Hunters for 6 languages:
- Simplified Chinese
- Traditional Chinese
- Russian
- Spanish
- Portuguese
- Japanese
We are planning to localize to more languages soon. We have added a spreadsheet link below the localization option in the settings. If you want to make any suggestions or report an error, please use the link. We really appreciate your feedback.
Merge Weapons
We heard from some players that the amount of weapons on the screen was a negative point for them. So we decided to add an option to merge all your weapons into one weapon (you can also merge them into two guns, one for each hand). Playing with this option on will allow you to have all 10 weapons and shoot all of their projectiles while having only one weapon in your hand. You can access this option in the settings menu.

New UI and HUD
It's been a while since we wanted to improve the game's UI, and we were finally able to do it in this update. Our goal was to make the experience of navigating the menus much more satisfying and to make the HUD clearer, especially considering the presence of multiple weapons on the screen.

New Relics
Relics are a big part of Vampire Hunters' gameplay so we have introduced 33 new relics to the game. Check out some of the new relics:
- Genetically Modified Slime Tube: Turns the current slime trail on the ground into a boost trail, where you gain 10% movement speed while on it.
- Mushroom of the Sinful Kingdom: When jumping on top of the enemy, you instantly kill it without taking damage, in addition to performing a small jump.
- Atomic Solar Gravitational Battery: All secondary weapons have two charges.
- Underworld Portal: Send all enemies back to the Underworld every 10 minutes.
- Fairy Dust Sack: Using your Special Ability instantly reloads your primary weapons.
- Magnet 3000: +300% Collect Distance and souls deal damage to enemies that pass through.
- Victorian Satellite: Every 15 seconds, for each weapon you have, a laser beam hits random enemies.
- Storm God's Lightning Rod: After using your Special Ability, a lightning bolt strikes you, causing damage around you, applying Electrify, and reducing the cooldown of your secondary weapons by 3 seconds.
- Artemis’ Silver Arrows: After using your Special Ability, shoot 8 arrows around.
New type of relic: Unique
They are rarer to obtain during your run but can be extremely powerful. Our idea here was to enhance that satisfying roguelike feeling of breaking the run.
Boss Chest
Every time you kill a boss, you'll be rewarded with a boss chest that gives you a random relic, including normal relics of a higher tier or one of the new boss relics.
New Bosses
We are introducing 3 new bosses:
- King Kappa
- Jorogumo
- Yuki-onna
New Monsters
You'll face 9 new monsters in Yuki Vale:
- Tsunomi
- Kid Nijam
- Mazingan V
- V-Man
- Tengu
- Niwatorumei
- Mukarei
- Possessed Farmer
- Karakasa-obake
Improvements on Brotherhood Chateau, Corrupted Necropolis and Village Yard
We have added elites to all maps and slightly tweaked the enemy progression. Our tip for veteran players is to start from the Brotherhood Chateau, then Corrupted Necropolis, and Village Yard before playing Yuki Vale. This way, you can learn the behavior of some elites before facing a lot of them in the new map. And, of course, enjoy all the improvements we did in the old maps.
Weapons Balancing
We have revisited all weapons (primary, secondary, and passive) to improve the overall balance. The biggest changes we made were buffing the first level of the majority of the weapons and improving the level progression curve.
Reroll, Lock and Ban
We heard your suggestions and implemented reroll, lock and ban to the Survivors Mode. To use them, you'll need to spend boss tokens. It was a great opportunity to give an extra functionality to the boss tokens, considering that you just keep accumulating them in the late game.
Ragdoll Animation
We have added ragdoll animation to some monsters, making it much more satisfying to kill them. You can tweak the number of ragdolls or turn it off in the settings. We'll add ragdoll to more monsters soon.

More Improvements:
- New grappling hook mechanic in Yuki Vale.
- Death animation for all the bosses.
- Tweaked the weapon position options, giving more possibility to rearrange your screen space with all the weapons.
- Bosses now have a different outline to make it easier to locate them.
- Added an option to disable chromatic aberration in settings.
- Buffed the berserker and paladin characters.
- Improved Skullship behavior.
- Tweaked the Desert Worm behavior: It's offspring only spawns while the boss is alive, so if you kill it fast, most of the offspring won't spawn.
- Tweaked the endless mode to fit the new elites and progression changes to the maps.
- Fixed a bug that was breaking the Pestilence weapon.
- Added arrows to the mini map targets to indicate relative height relative to the player.
- Improved Ankh capturing visuals.
- Optimized the Minigun and other weapons that shoots a lot of projectiles.
- Changed one cocoon spawn position from the Swarm boss in Brotherhood Chateau.
- Fixed the Lightibringer ammo counter.
- A lot of other small polishing to elevate your hunting experience to over 9000!
We are putting a lot of love into Vampire Hunters, and we hope you can truly feel it while playing. We can't wait to hear your thoughts!
Happy hunting!
Cheers!
