We are absolutely delighted to announce that Songs of Silence won the award for the Best Playable Upcoming Game at the Digital Vikings awards show at DevGamm in Gdansk last night!
We knew it, you knew it, but now it’s official – we’re the best! And we got an amazing trophy to show it off. Massive thanks to the organizers and the jury.
The award ceremony was held last night (February 28th) at an evening event after the DevGamm show in Gdansk. Chimera team members Krzystof Jasiulewicz and Olek Trępała were there in person to collect the award. You can watch the recording of the award ceremony here
Thank you so much for your support, passion and all the feedback you have given us, which made this award possible!🥳
Songs of Silence is upcoming indeed, with our Kickstarter Campaign launching in March this year. While we know you’re hyped already, the team also wanted to share their insights into why we’re running a crowdfundnig campaign:
"This award, coming just before we launch the full Kickstarter campaign, couldn’t come at a better time. Our Kickstarter for 'Song of Silence' marks a significant milestone for Chimera Entertainment. It allows us to unite with a community that shares our passion for innovative gameplay, fresh ideas, and beautiful visuals. As independent game developers, it's this ambition and love for creating remarkable games that drives us." – Bernhard Falk, Studio & Production Director
As you are aware, our art is AMAZING, so our artists have been super excited to see the reaction that the game is getting.
“I have been working on the game since our internal prototype and saw it growing until we reached our biggest and probably most important milestone – Kickstarter,” said Max Emmert, Junior Art Director.
“I am a big fan of tactical strategy games and thus I am very honored to work on Songs of Silence with a team that shares my ambition and goal to create something truly unique. It's my hope that the players will help us forge a new world and experience some nostalgia and joy in these challenging times.”
You might not believe it, but this game is not only pretty, but also offers a unique blend of mechanics. Implemented by our dear developers, who work tightly together with our Technical Artists, these mechanics are a big part of what makes the game unique!
Here's what one of our coders thinks about our upcoming Kickstarter:
"As a veteran at Chimera, I transitioned to working on Songs of Silence after we wrapped up another project. It's been pure joy to develop our own game, exactly as we envisioned. This passion is something we're eager to share with you, the players, and invite you to be a part of." – Maximilian Dienersberger, Senior Frontend Developer
Finally, we have the team which adds all the sparkly magic and beautiful effects to the game, bringing it to life: the Technical Artists!
“Songs of Silence is a product of passion perfectly mixed with professionalism. To me, it's always amazing to see the reaction to the artistic side of the game as it's quite the fantastic journey. I consider myself lucky to be able to work on such a unique project and am really excited to bring every delicate taste it has to offer to gamers. A gorgeous, intriguing, spectral and wondrous adventure awaits us, and we’re happy that the community thinks so as well and supported us in receiving this award” – Chao, Senior Technical Artist
P.S.: We’re hosting more events like the watch-party we hosted for the Awards on our Discord Server! If you want to be part of the Community, join here: https://discord.gg/Jnyw9bXrVu
Cheers!
