Status Update!
Hey Heisters!
We just released a video update! In it we talk about the latest stuff going on in PAYDAY 2 on all platforms. Check it out below!

Console update next week
First off - console heisters, new content is coming next week! The update will go live on the 5th and the Most Wanted DLC bundle will be available on the 6th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The update includes the Jimmy character pack, the Hardcore Henry heists, two tutorial heists, the skills update, a difficulty revamp and more. The bundle includes Sydney, Rust, the Biker heists and more.
In the video above, we touch on the process for console updates. There is much to be said on the matter, and there is more we can get better at as developers when it comes to understanding all platforms and establishing best practice. Still, there is something to point out that is one big difference between Steam and every other platform available - on Steam, we are in full control and can change the game at our own leisure. Valve lets us "push the button" however often we want, whenever we need to. Did we add the wrong 3D model? No problem, one click and it's updated by us. Weird looking weapon skin? One click and it's updated by us. Big update with a ton of playable content? One click. On other platforms however? Not as easy - there are submission processes, platform specific bugs that appear only on one platform, different processes and so on and so forth. That's one of the great things about Steam and Valve as a partner, that they let us be in control, and in game development, control means power. So thank you Gaben for that. :dallas:
Helping independent developers thrive
We'd also like to talk about our Indielabs initiative. With the success of PAYDAY and the support of our community, OVERKILL and Starbreeze have managed to become a truly independent studio. This is a privilege and something we are very thankful for to our community. Thanks to this we have seized the opportunity and become a publisher of other independent studios and their games. The first game we published was Behaviour Interactive's game Dead by Daylight. Now it's time to help another independent studio called Soap Interactive. Through our Indielabs initiative, Starbreeze funds and publishes independent game projects. We pride ourselves in giving independent game developers a great deal and wherever possible we look for them to keep their rights to their game because we know how much it means to control your own ideas and creations.
As a thanks to our heisters, If you buy Antisphere before launch and own PAYDAY 2, you get a loyalty discount of 25% off the original price. To celebrate the launch of Antisphere, we've added two masks for free in PAYDAY 2. If you like them, you can get six more masks for PAYDAY 2 if you buy Antisphere.
