Hello everyone, it’s me again, the dev of Wandering Cat! 🌟
After the demo for last Steam Next Fest, I wanted to take some time to revisit and dive deeper into certain gameplay aspects, as well as fix some bugs that were reported. Right now, I’m focused on the combat system, which I want to be not only functional but also challenging and engaging in the Wandering Cat universe. The goal is to make each encounter feel like a memorable and strategic moment, while keeping that unique and fun touch that defines the experience.
Additionally, today I want to talk to you about the project’s Roadmap. After reflecting on the timelines and the work required to create a stable and truly enjoyable build, I’ve decided to push back the Early Access release to 2025. I know the wait may feel long, but I’m convinced that working carefully and attentively is essential to deliver a game that meets not only your expectations but also my own—and those of my kids. And don’t worry: before the official release, there will be another demo, allowing you to try out new features in advance and give me valuable feedback to help make further improvements.
A heartfelt thank you for all the support you’ve shown me so far! Every comment, message, and word of encouragement gives me the energy to keep going. Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, let me know what you think.
Until next time! 🐾
