Good morning, afternoon and evening everyone!
This week's development blog is featuring the much anticipated Team Creatures! Today we have a filler of a new plant concept, Vitreus' progression and we take a sneak peak into the brand new animations for Valhad!
NEW! Gem Root Plant Concept Art!
Let's allow Nika start today's development update! We are introducing the Gem Root plant. By appearance this plant seems rather alien in nature, one that suits well with something you might expect to see in the tropical biomes perhaps. Unlike most plants that are harvested during spring and summer, this specific plant is best gathered and harvested during autumn and winter time when its hibernating.
As the name suggests the roots of this plant are the edible part. The roots are best harvested during autumn when the plant prepares for the winter. You will be able to harvest them as well during winter time, but you will find out that they are slightly more chewy and slightly less tasty. Still edible though! On the right you can see how the inside would like. It's structure would be almost kiwi-like.
PROGRESS! Vitreus' Rig has been Completed!
In the previous development live-stream over at our YouTube channel, @SadEch has fully completed a rig to one of our other dragons: Vitreus. It has been a while since we have shown progression on our small acid dragon. Clarification: Vitreus will not be part in the pre-alpha tech demo! The zilant will be developed after the crowdfunding period.
The rig is fully posable. Here is a quick pose that Ech did while streaming.
NEW! Set of Valhad Animations!
Now then, shall we get into the highlight of this update? Yes, yes whe shall. Our animator has completed more of the wonderful animations for our Valhad, the small fire dragon that will be replacing Vulgan in the tech demo. there has been a lot of progress since the last time we saw this vulture wyvern three weeks ago. Let's see where we have gotten thus far...
