Workshop Progress Report
Currently the bulk of my time is spent in Workshop, both populating the levels with art and programming the little exclusive systems that are in the level like conveyor belts and machinery, have some screenshots!
Keep in mind that this is just a first art pass and the levels will get more populated with stuff later on in the polish phase.
I'm not here to show you still images though, it's more exciting to see it more in motion. This is a little snippet of the level, in this room some workers are in the assembly line hammering away at some scrap that comes their way, when this scrap has been hammered a few times it's considered complete, and some sensors that monitor the conveyor belts will decided if they let the scrap pass or not, which might lead you to secrets and new areas.
Also, in this video I'm in God mode flying around just to show this off but, in-game, normal workers will ignore you unless you get spotted by the surpervisor/s of the room, so, if you get in a situation where you're forced to kill these NPCs you won't get more completed scrap on the conveyor lines, but, being this an immersive sim, there are ways to fool the sensors to let you through 😎👍
Upgrade menu
This is kind of a minor thing but it's the first step towards making a loadout/equipment system, this is how it looks like when you shop for items:
All work in progress of course.
Big Magnets
One key feature present in Workshop but not exclusive to it is Big Electrical Magnets which are super fun to use. They can disable robots and armored enemies as well as disarm any enemy that's carrying metallic weapons.
It has some more uses but they will be revealed some other time.
The Fields
This is a first peek at the second area in the game, which is themed around a botanist/geneticist Witch. And The Fields are the first level in said area, so far we've been looking at levels from the first area which are themed around an inventor/mechanist Witch and thus action happens in small enclosed spaces, well, The Fields are very different.
In this sprawling open area the denizens of the castle work the fields and harvest the produce, once again this is a blockout level designed by co-developer Yorke, and even though it has graphics these are being used from existing assets and final looks will be vastly different, still, it has a nice sunset going on which is very cool.
Even though I might be biased I had a lot of fun playing this blockout, the openness of the area allows for a lot of options and emergent situations, and there are a lot of systems to mess around with, check out some screenshots:
Some of you out there might be worried that traversing this environment might take too long or be boring, but worry not, you'll be able to use those lanterns to travel quickly, how? Well, let's just say that it's a system inspired by Mistborn, those of you that have read it know what's up 🤭
New Website
This is kind of random but I've picked up Web Development as a hobby recently and after doing a couple of personal websites I did one for Sorceress, I'm having trouble with the domain I usually use so atm is only visible on my personal domain, but you can check it out and learn a thing or two about the game and us:

That pretty much does it for this update, remember to check out the Twitter and Discord for more frequent updates and Wishlist the game if you haven't, of course.
