I always try to be transparent on things, so I figured I'll make the post now.
I'll be attending a certification course for one week, starting March 8th, which will leave me pretty incapacitated from updates on the engine (and potentially life itself, hah). I was hoping to leave an update today for a few other features that had been requested, but I haven't had the time.
If you've been following the blog, you know that something "big" is coming as far as assets... and that should hopefully be released sometime this coming week, if internal testers can validate/confirm things look good, and package it nicely... and if my fingers and body aren't broken.
I have ALMOST finished working plugin support, because a few folks have been requesting it. I won't have instructions (yet) on it, but I've been rebuilding/rearchitecting (pun mostly intended) things to run well with it. I've only tested it for about ten minutes total, so I'm not comfortable releasing it yet. Stability is the goal, at this point.
Plugin support will not be clearly supported -- but it will be available. I'm trying to make good on my promises that it does work, though. I hope to put together a sample at some point that shows how it works, and distribute accordingly. Your best bet will be to get "support" on Discord to gain access, because it will have a bit of nuance, especially because we're updating so frequently and some of the assemblies will continue to change, which will make there be some "dependency hell."
Beyond that, I will likely be recovering the week following next, but hopefully still get some things in. There are a few feature requests I'd like to knock out on Discord before pushing forward. In addition, I'll be taking the first break for "playing a game" in about two years with Xenoblade Chronicles X -- so it is likely I may slow down a little from that as well. I've done these things before (similar certification last February, and similar game release in July of 2023 -- which you can probably figure out what that was), so y'all are (mostly) familiar with it.
I try to be transparent on things -- so just wanted to keep everyone posted. Thank you for your support, Architects!
