In the upcoming update, the first secret character will join the roster:
Rodrigo, the Fisherman
Players will finally be able to fix the Fisherman's Hut on the village, so there won't be any broken buildings anymore (for now).
Why is the Fisherman a Secret Character?
Rodrigo is the first character that will be unlocked through a Secret Area. Secret Characters won't be unlocked by following the main areas of the game and will require their own area's materials to upgrade their houses for most of their levels.
Rodrigo will bring a new mechanic with his playstyle, with a lot of different visuals.
Accompanying him in the next update, the first Secret Area will be unlocked: the Beach!
Players will have brand new enemies to fight, stages to explore and materials to collect, that will focus on the Fisherman's Hut. Secret Areas are not mandatory, so regular buildings won't require materials from them to progress their levels.
We already implemented him in the game and we are currently testing him and all his skills, while building the new stages for the Beach.
Note
We will have some family members visiting us for around a month, after 4 years since they were last able to come for a visit. This will slow down the development of major content for the game during those days, but we will still work on smaller updates as we can.
We decided to be transparent about this, so players know what to expect for the next steps of Crafty Survivors development.
