Hello Crafters!
How are you all?
New patch is here, bringing new content to the game!
It's Halloween!!! Well... actually, it is not... let's just pretend it is, for a moment, ok?
It's Halloween!!
It's finally the debut of the 10th character! Mausolea is bringing a lot of themed charm to Crafty Survivors, together with her multitude of friends from beyond, to fight against the themed horde of Malignants that assail the Haunted Grounds. Join the Gravekeeper in collecting lots of Candy through the areas and bringing havoc to the enemies!
For now, there is no visual changes in town, as it is not actually Halloween and it would delay the release of this content. We decided that making new visuals for the Village for this update would be a hindrance. Maybe in the actual Halloween, time permitting of course, we could add some flavour to the Village. No promises though.
Let's dive into the Patch Notes:
Patch Notes - v0.7.0
New Character
Mausolea, the Gravekeeper
A new character is ready to join the Roster! The Gravekeeper and all her friends are ready to rumble!
Mausolea, the Gravekeeper, is the newest addition to Crafty Survivors, bringing the spooky times of Halloween to squash her enemies into nothing!
During battle, Mausolea can collect the souls of her fallen enemies to summon allies of her own. Strength in numbers! She has a variety of companions that can aid her in different ways and turn the tides of battle. From fierce attackers to dauntless supports, they can cover multiple roles!
The Gravekeeper can also lose BODY PARTS during combat as she gets hit! This will affect her stats and also her visuals, such as losing her own head!
Lost parts will do their own thing while they are not picked up, which can even increase the number of attacking "allies" in the field, and she can only lose 3 parts in total. Picking those parts up will reattach them to her body, in the order picked!
Village
New Building - Graveyard
With the update, new materials have been added to the game, so players can finally rebuild the Graveyard and unlock its features!
Trick or Treating System
This System is the new addition to the game as a gathering system that allows players to collect specific materials exclusively for upgrades of the Gravekeeper, the Graveyard and special recipes and designs from the Haunted Grounds. These materials are not needed for anything else outside of these and can be used for selling if the player needs golds!
New Area
Haunted Grounds
- Unlocked a new area, with a different look and more stages to play through;
- New enemies added to this area, with their special skills and interactions;
- New field events to fight for more materials;
- New materials, including;
- New special materials exclusively for the Gravekeeper to gather;
- New song just for the Haunted Grounds.
General
- New mail to receive.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue with Chiselo, the Sculptor, when picking up Marble Mastery Lvl 3 without having all the Marble Skills, as it would freeze the game as the passive tried to apply its perks to skills that the player didn't have.
Next Steps
With the debut of the lovable Mausolea (if you don't mind the smell), we are making the finishing touches on the Beach Bosses, which means they are coming out really soon as well!! Can you smell the Summer? Wrapping up the Beach will be the last 4 Stages that have been locked for a while, all with new bosses to fight! YES! All Stages have bosses!
For those who have been accompanying the Daily Newton posts here on Steam, we also mentioned that "J" will be the next character to join the game! The long lost partner of our esteemed Seamstress has been mentioned thoroughly in-game and is the next on in line for development. Different from the other characters we did so far, we won't make a sneak peek of them! You will have to wait for their reveal post!!
The 11th character will bring more Stages in the Cavern so players can continue their progress and maybe get the coveted Skill Points from the Weaving and Smithing Systems, so players can customize each character even further.
Who is ready for some spooky time? We hope everyone has fun with Mausolea and all her friends! Things are about to get scary and chaotic!!
