Hello Crafters!
A new update is ready with some Quality of Life added to the game: Character Presets. These will allow players to separate Foods and Elixirs by each character, instead of having one-set-fits-all type of System. As more and more characters join with new mechanics, the foods and skills will have to cater more to each playstyle, so separating them is a good QoL to have.
Patch Notes - v0.6.1.0
New
Character Presets
Within the Kitchen and the Laboratory, each character will have their own Preset to select the foods and elixirs so players can match the playstyle they want with each character, without having to rearrange those when swapping between them.
With this addition, players must add new food and elixirs to each character as they will be currently unequipped.
Level Up Screen Keyboard
Players will now be able to select the upgrade they want using the keyboard by pressing 1/2/3/4/5/6/7 (each corresponding to one of the options in order from left to right) and pressing Enter to confirm. This will allow players to keep the mouse on the direction they want while selecting their upgrades.
General
- Laboratory added to the Village Menu on Character Selection Screen;
- Material amount will show as red text in case the player doesn't have enough of them.
Adjustments
- Adjusted some typos;
- Fixed the description of Theodore's KABOOM skill, as it was missing the information that the explosion can harm the player and the effect on the Collapse Bar;
- Easy Mode:
- Increased the amount of gained materials and gold by 20%;
- Material Drop Chance is no longer reduced.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where debuffs given by recipes were not being added to some character’s weapons;
- Fixed a bug with Theodore's Mine Preservation Talent, as it was increasing the Collapse Bar instead of decreasing it;
- Fixed an issue with Theodore's Imprudent Miner as boulders were dealing 2 hearts of collateral damage to him, as it was only supposed to affect bombs;
- Fixed a bug with Theodore's C.A.L.A.M.I.T.Y not entering cooldown if the player was hit or dodged while charging the skill;
- Fixed the navigation on controller for the 3rd treasure chest on the Mountain area, after Stage EX3;
- Fixed some navigation issues for controllers in the Smithing and Weaving system when players had a character locked in the middle of the list, making it impossible to select characters below them;
- Fixed an issue with Viala's Chemist Refuge on level 5, as the sprites of the Puddles were missing;
- Fixed a bug with Viala's Noxious Miasma as the skill was not disappearing when reacting with Voltaic Sphere;
- Fixed an issue with Inner Battery and Cumulus Thunder when playing with Axel, which caused Inner's Battery's effect to trigger multiple times when the skill Cumulus Thunder was charging on Auto Cast.
Next Steps:
As we are working on the new secret character and their special area, we are also working on some new things to add to the game in the future.
Is anybody ready for some friendly competition?
We are making a new mode in the game with some Endless Stages and a Leaderboard, where players can engage in some friendly competition (no special rewards based on ranking, just bragging rights) with their favourite characters or just trying new characters to see how far they can go. These Endless Stages will have availability depending on the day of the week, so players will have a different challenge to conquer depending on the day they are playing.
Leaderboards will be separated in a general section regardless of character and a specific Leaderboard for each character.
Stages will have their own specific enemy waves and bosses, based on the area chosen, and only one difficulty, to keep the challenge fair and square. The only variable will be the player's choice of character and the builds they come up with (from skills available on level up, to the foods chosen for the fight).
More information will come when the System is ready!
And let's try to keep it fair! As we are a very small team, we won't be able to verify every single player and run of the game. So we are also counting on the community to keep it fair and clean. (Of course, if we notice anything weird, we will try to address it as best as we can).
We hope everybody is looking forward to it and have fun with the new content when it comes out.
More information will be posted as soon as possible. Keep an eye on the next Daily Newton! We will bring a bit more info on it.
