Hi Crafters,
How is everyone after all the spooky time?
We've been designing and planning a lot of cool stuff for the Master Talents of each character, which will bring the Talent Trees to their maximum potential. Some insane additions to each of the characters that will make their playstyle either SHINE even more or CHANGE in some drastic measures! These Talents of the Weaving and Smithing Systems are the focus of the next update of Crafty Survivors, with a few more Stages of the Desert, allowing players to further progress the strength of each character and the overall status of them all.
This update will have 2 new buildings in the Village as well, preparing the space for the 2 last characters of the game, as they are residents of the Village. The text won't spoil who they are or the name of the buildings for now, as they will be revealed after the debut of the Locksmith. Their materials won't be in the game either as they are from the last area, but we are already setting them up for the future.
After that update, we will continue the work on the 13th character to be added to the game, Keyra, the Locksmith. She will debut in-game with the rest of the Desert area and its challenges, to complete the cycle of the Early Access, as we move to the content update for the 1.0 of the game, which will add the 2 final characters and the last area!
We are also organizing the Announcement of our next project, to be revealed soon! As the development of Crafty Survivors approaches its final steps of the content, we have been planning what our next game would be and when we would reveal its Steam page and all. We have been really excited about this idea, with all its planning and everything! It's been quite hard not to talk about it. This next project is in a completely different genre and has nothing to do with Crafty Survivors.
For those wondering why we are already mentioning a next game if this one is not on its 1.0 yet, we have been debating that ourselves about when it's the most appropriate time to announce. To be as most transparent as possible, as I always like to be, Crafty Survivors hasn't been financially viable for almost a year now, but we are still committed to finishing its content to the possible extent of what was planned, and, because of that, we need to start thinking about the future of Flannel Bear Games and what we are able to do to continue creating the games we love. There are a few important dates next year that coincide with the game idea that we have and it would be a very appropriate time for our next step, so we definitely need to announce it before to start its existence and let people know about it.
That is all for today, with the Daily Newton! Hope everybody is excited for the new Talents soon!
More information in the future, so keep an eye out for it.
Have a good day! And keep Crafty!
