Dear Magicians:
In eager anticipation of fans on all platforms, the 0.8 version of Magicraft has reached the final stage of development and has already been updated!
Although we have received many suggestions from users to release partial content first and then update gradually, our team still believes that content-rich and focused updates can provide a more complete and stable gaming experience than frequent but minimal updates. We really appreciate everyone for keeping you waiting for so long.
Now, let's introduce to you the exciting content in this version!
1. New Chapter - Abyss of Antiquity
As the magical prowess of all magicians continues to advance day by day, we have also taken another step forward and arrived at the chapter of Abyss of Antiquity.
In the Abyss of Antiquity, players will encounter a host of new minions, elite minion, and bosses blocking their path. To ensure everyone's journey goes smoothly, we present a detailed chapter introduction for all magicians to peruse.
●New Minion - Void Creatures
Void creatures are beings composed of void energy, possessing the ability to fade into the void to evade attacks. When encountering them, remember to approach closely to force them out of the void before launching attacks!
●New Minion - Mana Absorber:
Mana Absorbers feed on the mental energy of sentient beings. When encountering them, be cautious in case they drain your magical power!
●New Minion - Thorny Bee:
Thorny Bees have incredibly high mobility and can unleash spiral attacks. Please be cautious and evade their attacks.
●New Minion - Poison Sac:
Poison Sacs possess high HP and can emit poisonous mists for attacks. You can try targeting and breaking its side eyeballs first to defeat the main body more quickly.
●New Minion - Shadow Pillar:
Shadow Pillars can provide shields for other minions in the same scene. Remember to prioritize attacking them first.
●New Minion: Ice Giant
Ice Giants can launch attacks similar to meteor strikes and wide-range ground pounds, causing a freezing effect upon impact. Please be mindful and dodge accordingly.
For the remaining new interesting minions and mechanisms, feel free to explore them for yourself in-game!
●New Elite Minion: Skeletal Centaur
File missing, no detailed introduction available.
Magicians, please explore on your own.
●New Boss: Abyssal Lord
Abyssal Lord's attacks are all related to water-based magic. When mysterious characters on the ground light up, it seems to enter an invincible state.
2.New Spells
In this update, we've added 4 active attack spells, 1 enhancement spell, 1 passive spell, and 4 summoning spells, totaling 10. Please see below for detailed descriptions:
●Active Attack Spell One: Sword of Judgment
The Sword of Judgment rotates around players/wands upon casting for about 8 seconds, with a certain locking range. It will automatically attack when minions appear within the locking range.
●Active Attack Spell Two: Condensed Water Bubble
Upon casting, it gradually condenses into a bubble with an expanding radius over time. After a certain duration, the bubble explodes with a knockback effect. If enemy units are within the radius, the bubble explodes automatically. The damage and radius of the explosion increase with time.
●Active Attack Spell Three: Fierce Dragon Breath
Fierce Dragon Breath inflicts continuous damage, with damage increasing over time. Continuous casting also applies recoil.
●Active Attack Spell Four: Shining Star Arrow
Shining Star Arrow can be casted with a single click or charged, requiring 4 charges to reach maximum.
●Enhancement Spell: Reflection
When the active spell hits an enemy, it reflectss twice when it fulfill the condition of being within 4 meters of the spell's ending range.
●Survival Spell: Arcane Barrier
Arcane Barrier occupies 3 spell slots and can be used in an unarmed wand. When the wand is fully charged, it generates a barrier that can block damage and deal damage to nearby enemies.
In player suggestions, we found that the summoning spells was generally considered weak. Therefore, we have strengthened the summoning branch and introduced exclusive summoning spells. The summoning branch will be more interesting to play now.
●Summoning Spell One: Cadaver Explosion
Cadaver Explosion increases the maximum HP of summoned creatures. When HP of summoned creatures is below 50%, they will self-explode with a explosion range of 2.4 meters.
●Summoning Spell Two: Indomitability
Summoned creatures will not disappear after death and can continue fighting for 2 seconds.
●Summoning Spell Three: Fusion Summon
Fusion Summon requires 2 spell slots and merges two identical summoned creatures into one, enhancing the combat performance of them. For specific effects, please refer to the game for details.
●Summoning Spell Four: Essence of Soul
Essence of Soul bestows new abilities upon summoned creatures:
①Essence of Bobo: Each attack of Bobo has a 20% chance to launch a Bo Bomb.
②Essence of Hand of the Cthulhu: Increases attack speed by 10%. After every 4 attacks, Hand of the Cthulhu's attacks transform into a series of attacks, dealing damage to enemies in a straight line.
③Essence of Skull of the Cthulhu: Two sharp tentacles grow from skull of the Cthulhu .
④Essence of Pillar of Light: The Pillar of Light gains levitation near the ground. When there are enemy units within a certain range of the Pillar of Light, it performs a shockwave attack.
⑤Essence of Autonomous Grimoire: The Autonomous Grimoire gains teleportation ability. When enemy units are detected on the map, it teleports to a suitable position (near enemy units).
3. New NPC & Function
After the introduction of the Monster Girl "Lilia," we received widespread praise for this setting. Additionally, the function of choosing between three spells has to some extent addressed the issue of players unable to graduate from builds. However, based on some suggesttions, we learned that players were having trouble reforging spells they desired in the workshop.
Therefore,we have added a new Monster Girl with the highly requested function-Spell Disable. After successfully finishing the hard difficulty, players can rescue the new NPC "Gina" to unlock the Spell Disable function.
4. Encyclopedia Function Optimization
We have optimized the Encyclopedia display, providing detailed descriptions for monsters and spells, including their special mechanisms. Welcome all magicians to explore on your own!
5. Future Development Plan
Next, we will complete Chapter Five in Nightmare Difficulty. After that, we will continue to fill in spells, relics, wands, curses, potions, and other content. We will also supplement and optimize NPC functions. Of course, as promised before, the Workshop and Endless Mode will be developed and community permissions will be opened after the formal content is completed!
Although there have been no large-scale updates in the past few months, we have recruited players to help us test while developing. By synchronously conducting development testing, we aim to further shorten the development cycle. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the players of the testing group for their dedication and hard work.
In the future, we will be more active on multiple platforms and communicate with all magicians to avoid concerns about disapearing again. Thank you all for your continued patience and support! Please believe in our determination to make the game excellent and complete. We will definitely not disappear!
Afterwards, we will also open recruitment for testing palyers in the official community next. Magicians who are interested in can join our Discord community for notifications. We hope that in thecoming days, we can continue to work hand in hand with all players and we also hope that all magicians can provide us with more suggestions and ideas to make our game even better.
So, this developer's log ends here! If you have any other questions or want to learn more official information, you can join our official Discord community! We are looking forward to you!
