How is development going?
Great, since the last playtest I got some valuable feedback which has been used to improve the game a lot. There has been a tonne of work done on an NPC update which should make the town feel a bit more alive, as well as many bugs being fixed including the rifle range balloons refusing to pop and falling through the map! Although just in case a rescue button will be added during early access, I can’t control all the Dinos!
What has been added since the playtest?
A lot of things have been added and a lot of things have changed since the playtest, most notably the NPCs when you speak with them you will now have options to choose from such as chatter, gift or leave them, as well as prompted dialogs for the story and quest interactions.
This also leads into the relationships you can have with the NPCs by talking to them every day and giving them items they like so you can become friends and even best friends with them. This will unlock different chat lines as well as quests unique to that NPC.
Egg creator changes, you no longer have to upgrade your speed to unlock the new Dinos rather now you have to complete a set of requirements in order to obtain the next level of software, those requirements can be a relationship level with a certain person or the amount of Dinos you have or whether you have completed a particular quest or not.
Changes and fixes since the playtest
Upon receiving feedback from the playtest many things have already been added into the game such as a place to see your messages you have received in addition to increased messages and alerts about outstanding quests.
Pumpkins have also been tweaked and now will spawn randomly across the map in different locations, however if you do not harvest pumpkins for a while they can build up leading to an easier and bigger pay day more useful a little later on when you don't immediately need them each day.
The Rifle Range has been updated and it actually works properly, my apologies, the hit detection should now work 100% of the time regardless of frames per second as well. In addition you can also now win prizes for getting the top score which is now too easy so expect an update to the rifle range soon.
