Hello everyone!
As we get closer and closer to the release of "Ticket to Europe", we decided to update you every month about the current development of the game.
"Ticket to Europe" is a specific game - most of the complexity of this project is based on a multi-threaded story, but at this stage of development the script (300,000 words long!) is already closed and we are focusing mainly on more technical aspects and QA.
What happened in last month?
1. We were working on a new map (and animations of the routes on it) for the location: the city of Alexandria
2. We wrote descriptions of tags and items
3. We wrote the texts for the achievements and created the design of their icons
4. We updated the credits
5. We implemented the entire soundtrack to the game
6. We improved font scaling in the game
7. We added an option to skip intro animation
8. We have automated the build process (through Jenkins), which will simplify the internal QA process
9. We've made some adjustments to the settings
10. We tested the game dozens of times
11. We added an illustration of a cat named Engels to the game :)
The game is now taking its final shape. There are only a few minor improvements left to be done (mostly technical), closing the localization to English (we currently have 14 out of 15 scenes translated!) and the game will be ready! We're quite excited, and you? :)
