Maps
In order not to get lost while exploring the game's many levels, the hero will diligently map his travels in his journal, complete with environmental sketches and notes. This is what it looks like:

Newly discovered clearings and important notes will be automatically added as the game progresses. To accomplish this, we've written a script that stores object states (soon we're going to use it for tweaking the quest system). While there is still much to be done concerning the maps, they are not placeholder pics anymore!

Thanks to the script mentioned in the previous devlog, we now can change sprites on the map. For instance, when the Gunslinger finds a camp spot for the first time, it will look abandoned. But after spending at least one night there, it will have a tent and a small fire.

We've also added a custom function into the Fungus plugin that is able to run any external interface—barter, smithing, or combat—right in the middle of a dialogue, thus giving us much more narrative freedom.
