This is Graeme, from 2 Left Thumbs. I first connected with Fami about 7 months ago during the February 2023 Steam Next Fest, with Schism slated for a release shortly after. I immediately fell in love with this unique (and slightly insane??) combination of genres and mechanics, and smashed my way into Fami's DMs to plead for the opportunity to publish Schism, and help ensure it finds it's audience!
Fami, myself, and Esty8nine (AKA The Game Doctor, acting as an outside consultant) have been playtesting the heck out of this thing, with Fami rolling out a series of QOL patches to make a great game even better! (The most recent was actually just yesterday!)
WHAT COMES NEXT?
The game feels ready to introduce to a larger audience. We want to spend some time promoting the demo to gather as much player feedback as possible. Please consider joining the Discord to share bug reports, suggestions, or to simply share insane builds and combos of yours!
We are targeting an Early Access release for Q4 2023. Much of the game is already considered complete (hence why it nearly released at the start of the year). But with a game this deep and complex, we want to take our time. It's important that players feel encouraged to learn Schism's true mechanical depth, and our current pseudo-Early Access, and eventual EA will act as stepping stones to make the game the best it can be!
