Hello, deviants! I hope everyone had a good and safe holiday. Mine was well, though I ended up getting sick again (don't worry, I'm almost fully recovered now). I mainly just wanted to give some update progress information in addition to fixing a minor bug in this week's update.
Artifact Overhaul
The overhaul is further nearing completion. The mechanics and world are mostly cobbled together now, mainly just lacking all the quests and meat. As a result of all these efforts, updates to the current build of Artifact have been tapering off to focus more on the overhaul (otherwise, I'd be spending double the time to add new content to both builds in two completely different ways). I'm eager to officially switch over to the newest build to finally get back to larger updates, while at the same time I'm also trying to be careful not to rush anything and appreciate everyone's patience while we hammer this out.
Mesmerizers Gaming
It's been a challenging year for sure. Between additions to the games, increasing costs, staffing conundrums, the overhaul, there has been quite a lot happening. Just like the year before, there has been a lot that I've learned and I'm sure there is a lot more I will continue to learn about gamedev. The support that each and every one of you has given us has been paramount, and it really means a lot!
I hope you enjoy the changes that are coming and the new things that are in store. I'm ecstatic to see all this work bloom in 2025!
