I'm in the process of upgrading the Visitor / Shop system in the game to give the game a more fun and solid shopkeeping system. Sort of fleshing it out to where, you almost have these semi-daily visitors to your settlement, buying stuff, interacting, if you choose to. I've added some tavern counters and a barstool along with some wall hanging decorations.
The Merchant Table also now blends seamlessly with the tavern counters - it also now displays a radius and connections to nearby storage items. For the next update, guests and traders will now stand by the merchant counter, wait for an available citizen to help, and then the cashier-citizen will get their order from the nearby storage unit. Neat huh? So it will be like an actual shop or tavern. I'm pretty excited by this cause that means we can have a nice, fully immersive tavern sim too with our other Outland Kingdoms systems and combat..
Combat pace has also been lowered so you're not getting attacked continuously, along with some important bug fixes:
- Automatically un-stucking characters stuck on, say, a roof
- Fixed an idling bug
- Fixed log-spike gates to lock properly
- Optimizations and other bug fixes
