Hello!
First of all, thanks again for your feedback about the new features and changes we’ve made to Nordic Ashes. The game is still on Early Access, and we really appreciate all your comments, positive or negative, so we can make the game better and better.
Since we launched Endless Mode, we’ve been debating if it was a good idea or not to release it so early. There have been major performance issues and runs went from 60FPS to 2, and that led to a bad game experience. We tried to solve it with performance fixes, but we also nerfed relics and features for the sake of Endless Mode.
And that is not the path we want to follow. Sacrificing fun relics in exchange for a few more FPS was not a good deal.
That being said, we’re gonna put Endles Mode on hold at least for now, until it is well optimized and better designed to make it more unique.
In return, we’re bringing back the functionality that nerfed relics deserve, as our main goal is to provide a fun, fresh and replayable game. That is Nordic Ashes true core! They are the following:
- R.E.S.E.T. can be used once again twice on each weapon, to a new max. of 5 times.
- Discount Coupon will work as it used to. It will always grant a discount in every relic.
- Relic stat limit has been removed.
- Axeldör’s Fury limit has been removed.
- Talkor’s Greed scales endlessly again, 1% per gold.
- Talkor’s Orbs scale endlessly, 0.25% per gold.
- Thyra and Hafgrim are easier to unlock.
Another well known suggestion is the grinding feeling the game can give:
- The seed-leaf exchange price has been lowered.
- The amount of leaves for each Yggdrasil tier has been lowered.
We felt that the game had lost some of its fun by capping so many things, and the only reason behind it was to try to improve Endless performance. We do not want that for the sake of a game mode, everything has to be modified. And well, the core of this genre is to have fun and get the most broken builds!
Aaaand tomorrow we will release the new character!
It is a pleasure to be able to develop this game with all of you ːNA_Gnokiː
