Hey everyone, Happy New Year to you all, I hope you had a decent break and have started the year off strong!
Territory is really starting to come together now. I've been focusing mainly on ironing out bugs and refining the core gameplay experience through constant gameplay testing (you can see some of that on the games youtube channel. Also with the help of my wiz kid dev we've been adding and improving some really nice features and improvements to the game.
There's still so much work to do and the game is still not anywhere near where I want it to be and where it will be in another 6 months time. But, I feel like at this point the game speaks for itself as far as it's potential to be a really good game and I feel like I can now confidently ask for help to take it to the next level.
The truth is that currently the game has cost much more to make than it has made back in sales which is fine I knew that would be the case for a while until it hits a certain point and to be honest it's been better to have slower growth because more people and players just increases pressure, especially when things break as you would have seen that happens often. 😅
I currently work full time doing cyber security and develop Territory on the side, it would be amazing if I could go full time developing because once Territory is done, I have so many games I want to make, Territory will be the first of many. (I have ideas for space exploration, tactical turn based and ARPG games)...
So what I need now is help to boost the game in Steams algorithm to bring more players in as I'm now happy for more players to come in and experience the game and provide feedback to help improve. If you've read this far it probably means that you care enough, either good or bad to help me out and write a review. It can be positive or negative, that doesn't matter and it doesn't have to be war and peace, just write what you do and do not like about the game. This will help so much so thank you in advance.
Other than that, I might open a patreon or something similar for those who would really like to support Threat Vector for the development of Territory and games in the future. Let me know your thoughts on this.
That's all for now, I might start doing these updates monthly. See how we go.
