Good Day Folks,
It's been a week since The Game of Fourtune has released and we've received a ton of feedback on various things that could be improved and changed. Rather than making new patches every day (those weren't fun for us) we decided to bundle as many as we could for a larger patch. This one has some substantial changes to QoL features, bugfixes, typos, and some adjustments to the UI.
Patch Notes for Apr 11, 2023:
• Flowchart screen: The flowchart now shows descriptions of each node on mouse-over. It also highlights the current node that you're on, so you can more easily see where you are in the flowchart.
• History screen: Changed the text font to make it more legible. Now also displays bold, italics, spacing, colors in the log!
• Profiles and Gallery screens: Bit of a UI makeover on both, to make them more legible & enjoyable to look at.
• Gallery: In addition to the arrow keys, you can now use your mouse wheel to change Gallery pages.
• Gallery CG close-ups: You can press 'H' to hide the UI (finally!), so you can enjoy the amazing CGs without those silly buttons in the way. <3 Also, you can use the ← and → arrow keys, as well as your mouse wheel to navigate between CGs within a set.
• Various edits, typo fixes, additional text formatting in some places, and commas added (not nearly enough though :').
• Assorted other minor QoL tweaks.
Bugfixes:
o The locked route should no longer lock you out or crash the game if you started playing it before the lock condition was added.
o Music volume should no longer massively spike after getting a Bad End or returning to the Main Menu from the game. (You may need to adjust your Music volume sliders after this patch though!)
o Gallery CG thumbnails should now match 1:1 with the CG they first display.
o A certain memorable CG is now easier to spot in the Gallery.
o Fixed some text inconsistencies on two of the ending backgrounds.
As with all patches, there exists the possibility that there will be some issues with previous saves. The flowchart should alleviate most of those issues, but if you ever have bugs, crashes, or other issues after downloading the update, please let us know so we can get to work resolving it.
