Item changes 🔪
Rose Crown (Plague effect was underwhelming and was conflicting with the standard minion attack)
Rose minion now deals 0 base damage and spawns diagonally instead of cardinally.
Enemies inflicted with plague now can also take damage themselves if there are no valid uninfected targets around.
Added extra animations and a sound effect to rose minion.
Divine Intervention -> Divine Protection (Make the two effects better match thematically)
Now only blocks on taking any lethal damage. Erases bullets and hazards in a small radius on block.
Improved many synergies with duplicate items (They were rare but possible in the previous version. Now they are going to be easier to obtain)
Duplicated Technologies will create bigger laser that does more damage.
Duplicated Robo Arms will create bigger bullets with more range and damage.
Duplicate Lil Apprentices no longer overlap with each other.
Duplicate RC Cars no longer overlap with each other.
Duplicate Ballista Crafting Manuals no longer allow you to build overlapping ballistas, instead they increase your global maximum ballistas limit. Mythical Ballista Crafting Manual now increases damage of all ballistas.
Duplicate Shackles now create one big ring of ghosts instead of overlapping several rings. Shooting effect is also improved to better sell the effect of shooting a ring of ghosts.
Duplicate Bandages don't create overlapping bloody cracks.
Using one Rat Scepter will explode all of your rats.
Having duplicated Yoyos allowed you to shoot extra yoyos to your sides whenever you throw your weapons. These side yoyos can now be thrown even if you attack normally.
Car from RC Straps no longer stops on invulnerable enemies. Bleeding effect also no longer procs when attacking invulnerable enemies.
When Glass Seraph takes Crystal Crown, they will now instantly get 3 permanent item crystals (since they cannot take damage so the item was unusable for them and this was lame).
Added Sylvan versions for RC Straps, Lil Apprentice, Shackles, Zodiac.
Added Mythical version for Long Sword.
Added sound effect for attacking bleeding enemies.
Other changes ⚖️
All intent icons for enemies were improved. In particular, "fear" icon was completely changed since it was really confusing.
Special shopkeeper now reacts to player's presence similar to the normal shopkeeper.
Idle animations in character select screen are now slightly "desynced" to look more natural. Improved sprite and added animation for locked characters.
Added white flash when player becomes invulnerable.
Improved Batsey's sprites.
Improved Cave Tyrant's AI which was really outdated compared to other bosses
During his jumping attack, he can either jump on the player or jump away from the player. This behavior used to be random but now has a predictable pattern.
Special attack cooldown is now dynamic and depends on the amount of worms in the boss room and on how much damage the boss takes from the player. Fixed being able to permanently stall the boss and never allow him to use his special attacks.
Now tries to not repeat his special attacks twice in a row.
If he gets stuck in the edge boss wall, he will now be able to break walls and will try to get to unstuck himself.
The first level of the run will always contain 1 more healing potion (mostly to help newer players).
The chance of getting white-tier items from Shrine of Imp and reverse Shrine of Dice was halved to better match the risk.
Batsey is now unlocked after getting 10 heart containers in one run. Beating loop 1 now unlocks Scurry instead. If you've already beaten loop 1 before, Scurry will be unlocked retroactively.
Frogs now have a 1 turn cooldown on everything after attacking.
Fixed star enemies being able to trigger diagonally through walls.
Fixed being able to use Reroll Potions in vain when you also have Thunder Bag and there are no valid targets for thunderstorm.
Version 1.2 will be permanently archived as a beta branch on Steam
