Quality of Life Updates
The following fixes aim to make story mode less frustrating if you lose.
If you get a Game Over, you will now see a proper Game Over screen when the curtains close. On this screen you can either return to the main menu, or directly retry the episode.
We are genuinely sorry this took so long to get added, if you asked prior to last week I genuinely woulda told you this was already a feature, huge oversight on my part.
You can skip the new-style cutscenes with the fast forward button.
In the future, we will also add a confirm button to ensure you cannot accidentally skip.
Additionally, the fast forward button’s text will be updated to skip whenever I find the file I made the buttons in.
If the fast forward button’s original functionality is missed, we will bring it back in future updates.
The Ambassador Certificate is now automatically granted to the DRM-free version of the game.
We still need to properly mark the DLC as owned in your save files, but for now it should work fine? (Have not been able to test launching DRM-Free version without Steam installed, we may need to work on this more)
Please be aware we may have other games check for its ownership on Steam, so if you got the game through the charity bundle on itch and are liking it, please consider buying it on Steam and redeeming the ambassador certificate for its full potential benefit. (Standalone purchases on itch should also give a Steam Key).
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue that may have caused everyone in Jud’s episode to default Sam’s voice? (I honestly did not check the before behavior)
Misc.
Text was added to the boot-up screen to clarify that the game is in Early Access and that we are open to feedback on everything.
What’s Next?
We are going to lock in and try to get Enzio’s episode overhaul finished this month. We have put work on our other game on pause due to getting a slew of new downloads thanks to the Charity Bundle. The tutorial will also be updated in the future, and no longer forced upon initial boot-up.
