Hello Everyone!
In the changelog for v2.4.1-ea I briefly mentioned we were trying to get a linux build out, and I'm happy to announce that you can now opt in to the "linux-beta" branch!!

Warning anyone interested in this up-front that I have not had a chance to actually test this on the Steam Deck yet, and will probably not be able to do so until the weekend at the earliest (And even then me and my partner are adopting a cat this week so it'll probably be a bit)
Please use the Feedback form or contact us on bluesky/by email if you have any feedback on this build you'd like to pass on!!! I've added some questions specifying platform and game version to the form too.
Future Plans for Enzio-Ware on Linux/Steam Deck
As much as I do not like the Steam Deck, if I conclude that the touch pads/touch screen are sufficient enough for the game's gameplay, we will likely create a new set of button prompts for controller, and re-wire the menus to actually work with controller.
With that said, the game will still not officially support controller, I don't think the mouse movements the game requires can easily be mapped to a joy-stick, and the average controller does not have touch pads.
I also want to be abundantly clear: We are currently not advertising this game as Linux/Steam Deck compatible, please do not purchase the game under the expectation it will support Linux/Steam Deck permanently. We are not committed to ensuring it can release on and if it ends up being too much of an issue it will be dropped.
As mentioned in the last post (also the reason this build did not release on Friday), Unity was straight up crashing itself or my entire computer when I tried to build for linux. I'm hoping that was just a fluke, but if that were to happen continuously, the linux builds would lose parity with windows at the very least
Also please be aware, I'm fairly certain that once we update the Windows version again the linux build will automatically get pushed to the default branch, I don't think I can stop that from happening.
Enzio-Ware on Other Platforms
We are also planning a version of Enzio-Ware for Dual-Screen android devices (mainly the AYN Thor, with development starting whenever the hell mine arrives). If there's a way for us to get it distributed on Steam we will, and even if not I do still want to make sure Ambassador Certificate owners get it for free.
It is currently not decided if Codename: True Dual is going to be a port or a side story (depends a lot on how easily we can get the existing game working on android). If it ends up being a side-story it may release before the epilogue or even v2.5.0-ea, just to give me a chance to write something new.
