Today we have released Enzio-Ware v2.2.-1-EA:01. To be clear, that is pronounced “version two point two point negative one dash Early Access colon zero one”; v2.2.0-EA will release properly at a later date
Cutscene Update
Kendra’s INTRO cutscene has been updated to the new VN system. It is roughly 90% complete, barring a stock photo used in a background and will likely get its writing revised before 2.2.0’s proper release.
Please be aware that Guy Bushell is an existing, recurring character and not a temporary stock photo. He was previously displayed silhouetted in this episode, and still appears silhouetted in episodes not yet converted to the new cutscene system.
If you’ve played the game before you may have already seen him lurking in a microgame or two
(Preview of CG made for Enzio’s episode revision ft. Guy Bushell)
Visual Changes
Changed Mat (from the DMV)’s design, but it’s only actually visible in the PLC-dia.
Cosmetics reflecting his old design have also been updated.
We will add the old versions back into the ambassador certificate at a later date (woulda been this update but I forgot).
Changed a font used in Enzio’s episode to “TikTok Sans”
Changed the visuals of the “Onwards! To The Furthest End!! Go Forth Supreme PLC!!!!” and “Enzio-Ware” to match the new physical boxarts we mocked-up for them.
Bug Fixes
An issue where “Shout!” could be completed before the microgame actually started was fixed.
What’s Next?
Because of how long it’s taking 2.2.0 to be “done” we’re just gonna release things as soon as they’re ready, prepare for the version number to get even more convoluted. We still need to get the sound implemented for everything added last update and I’m sorry for how long that's taking.
As for episode revisions: Basically all characters have had their updated portraits for the new cutscene system made. We’ve also decided to hold off on the CG for each episode for a bit, so (hopefully) episode revisions will trickle out way faster! We basically just need to make backgrounds and add the bottom screen narration for them all now.
Also the soundtrack will be released soonish? We announced it on bluesky awhile back and never updated y’all on it. Basically Jordan wanted to remaster all the existing tracks, and he’s close to being done with that now. (You’ll hear ‘em in game sooner or later, I still need to go back and manually adjust the music source volumes now that we’ve removed the godforsaken normalization filter)
