Greetings Carants!
The year rolls to its end, a new one on the horizon. With that one ABBA song blaring everywhere, it’s time to pop some champagne and get ready for the New Year! What joys will 2026 bring, I wonder? Only time will tell.
Either way: All we know is that it’s New Year’s Eve, the streets quiet before they burst into life come midnight’s toll. That doesn’t mean we’ve stopped working over here, though! No, we’ve come to celebrate – celebrate you, specifically. The fandom, our fans, and those who have supported us throughout the years.
This is a year review of everything you’ve done. Memes, art, photos, everything. I bet you didn’t think I’d saved them all, right? Wrong! They have their own dedicated folder.
Buckle in, Carants. This is going to be a long one.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It’s been a year of memes. Glorious, glorious memes. How you come up with some of these is beyond us, your chaotic minds too big for us to comprehend.
With so much choice, it was hard to pick out ones to share. You all seem to have a favourite character when it comes to them, too: Nilan, your crowned King of Memes, arrived to the party nearly every single time. I wonder what he thinks? Let’s check in with him.
Everywhere I go, I feel his judgmental stare.
Uh. Hm. Well, moving on.
This divine judgement was captured by pinklemonade from our Discord.
Nilan was too busy thinking about fighting others to notice his friend exploding.
Oh dear. Will VG be okay? It doesn’t seem like Nilan is too keen on helping him. Shéda, meanwhile, appears to have vanished. Hopefully, she’s gone to call an ambulance.
This unfortunate sequence of events was shared by Cain from our Discord.
Hey guys. Where’s the nearest hotel—why are you all looking at me like that?
This poor Nádaig was travelling the world and simply wanted directions to the nearest hotel. Sadly, it met its end at the hands of De Sardet after they misunderstood its intentions.

Ludwig was just trying to enjoy his drink, but Safia wasn’t having it.
Safia, please. Please. You don’t need to threaten him like this. He’s a semi-innocent man, you must understand!

What incredible pictures. They truly bring tears to my eyes. Speaking of, has anyone seen Kurt? I heard he was locked inside a jar by someone from our Discord. I wonder if he’s been freed yet... I’ve heard De Sardet is looking for him.
THE PHOTOMODE RIDES IN
We also had a fun little event some weeks ago where we asked you to share pictures you’d taken in Photomode. Many of you rose to the challenge, and we wanted to dedicate a section to it – though we couldn’t include all of them, we loved every single one we saw.
What a vicious looking fellow! I’m not sure I’d want to be on the wrong end of those teeth... A good thing this one is docile and allowed this player to get a close-up.

Beautiful, lush forests! An idyllic place to stroll and take a breather when you just need a break.

Who could forget this moment of your initiation? Well, here it is, immortalised, with the world’s most grumpy ( yet lovable ) man at your side.

A new update means a new adventure. Peren stands tall, welcoming this VG into vast, mysterious lands. I wonder what they discovered here...

Overlooking Olima for a moment's peace is always nice. Sometimes, it's even enough to make you forget the horrors of what you've witnessed thus far.

Gazing out over the sunset with your beloved. Could there be anything better? Wait, what was that-- you also want to fight crab-like monstrosities in the sewers as well? Oh, lovely, we have that too.

AND FINALLY, ART
Art! It breathes life into this world in a true celebration of creativity. Be it the artwork you’ve created or through cosplays, we wanted to take a moment to put it at the forefront.
This amazing Aegis cosplay was created by the wonderful Master-Kankuro and their partner. You can really feel the love poured into it - we're very fortunate to have someone so dedicated taking time to craft these and share them with us.
Vasco makes his return thanks to Halkuonn's stunning artwork! Is he preparing a bit of poison to use on his blade? Who can say. All we know is that we're blown away by this piece. The linework is gorgeous - I feel like I've just eaten a 5 course meal but for my eyes!
This beautiful piece features CONSTANTIN D’ORSAY #1FAN's OC Victoria and our beloved Constantin being incredibly sweet together. That said, De Sardet doesn’t seem so keen on the public display of affection. Maybe a new hat will distract them?
A huge thank you to the artists who let us use their artwork in this post. Your creativity has shone through this year, and we’ve felt incredibly lucky to have such a skilled fandom. We’re excited to see what next year will bring!
THANK YOU
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for all your support and laughs this past year. We’ll see you next year for some news – until then, Carants, we wish you all a Happy New Year! May 2026 bring you all joy and happiness!
