Hello everyone!
I have been working on the game as of late this month, and want to share my progress. While I have been mainly focusing on the marketing side of things (the fruits of which you shall soon see), I do have some interesting developments as far as the game updates go. I'm really glad with the polishing updated I have done as late; but now it is time for new(ish) content!
New Wave Variants
That's right; new kinds of waves! I am planning a B-Type and a C-Type campaign. These will have remixed waves as well as different skyboxes / world colors so you can tell them apart. New enemies are planned too! But we will start with the current ones we have.
This is mainly just an expedient way to add more content to the game, allowing for more of these campaigns without having to spend the months/years to make new backgrounds, music, bosses, ect. I am excited for this, because any other future campaigns I make can also have variants, effectively adding 3x the content; on top of the challenges like lunatic mode and other planned ones too!
Minigames anyone?
Oh yeah! I was thinking of adding some kind of mini-game to Bonelords. You collect support cards from playing the regular game, and then can summon units to smash into one another. If you ever played the flash game Bit Battles, it would be like that! Unsure, just spitballing ideas here, but I do like the idea of a "game hub world" where there are a few smaller games in the main menu. You can progress between all of them - that way, you get bored of one, you can go play another and still benefit in other modes. It sounds fun!
It would also motivate me to work more on the game, or rather just allow something to be delivered when I am blocked or uninspired, since I could work on a little side project within this game, which I could potentially progress on. And then once I am focused working on the main game would flow naturally. It would almost be more of a production booster, in a sense?
Other than that, I have been busy, but with my real life job. And horse girls; new scenario and all. Need to keep beating my friends (won 4/5 of the races in our group trials). I really want to work more on the game, but hey, horse girls giveth, horse girls take-ith away. Also; it's so cold outside nowadays! Even with the government shut down, they still enacted the evil law that turns the sun off earlier in the day. I'll be surprised if we all survive the winter at this rate (rationally kidding, but the vibes are right). See ya!
