The World Systems Update marks a key milestone in the development of Genimas: Life Reborn, establishing the foundations of a coherent world where time, planning, and player decisions begin to have real impact.
This update introduces a complete calendar system alongside a day and night cycle with lunar phases, allowing the world to progress in a persistent and structured way. Sleeping is now a functional mechanic that restores HP and advances time, enabling better planning of actions and events.
The crafting system has been updated to consume world time, directly integrating with the calendar. Crafting is no longer instantaneous and becomes part of the player’s time management. In addition, the inventory has been improved and organized by item type, laying the groundwork for clearer progression.
This version enables full exploration of the Project Titan map with no movement restrictions. However, the native Genimas: Life Reborn gameplay elements, including systems, interactions, and mechanics developed by Trialis Studios, are currently concentrated within the first 500 square meters of the playable area. Outside this zone, players can freely explore the entire Titan map, but without interaction with Genimas-specific systems. This approach allows testing of scale, navigation, and exploration while the final content continues in development. The Titan map is temporary and will be replaced by a custom-built environment created specifically for Genimas: Life Reborn.
The Tree of Life system has been reinforced to prevent progression blocks. The first Tree activates automatically, ensuring a stable initial experience.
Finally, the first iteration of the food consumption system is introduced, directly tied to the character’s evolution system. While the evolution system is already programmed at a technical level, it is not yet implemented in a visible or playable form within the game.
Level progression depends on two mandatory conditions: nutrition and experience gained during gameplay. Both must reach one hundred percent at each level in order to advance to the next. If either condition is not fulfilled, the character cannot level up, even if the other requirement has been completed. Food consumption contributes to level progress, provides temporary buffs, and will eventually unlock evolution branches once the evolution system is officially implemented in the playable experience.
This update does not aim to finalize systems, but to define the technical and gameplay foundations upon which genetic evolution, progression, and the living world of Genimas: Life Reborn will continue to be built.
