Hello everybody! I hope you are all doing well.
Firstly thank you very much for all your support, suggestions and feedbacks. Keep them coming!
I see a lot of people are complaining about the jump-scares and I understand, while some may enjoy them some others won't. That is why we are adding a 'temp-mode' for now that will remove some of the jump-scares in the game.
The idea behind these are triggers that will trigger depending on each player's play-through, so while some players will get them some others won't. Since this is still in early-access it is still being worked on, so unfortunately these triggers (jump-scares) are coming too early for some too. While we are working on this to balance it out - we will be adding a temp-mode with a 'No jumpscare mode' so players who don't like them will still be able to enjoy. Basically, like Trenches.
However please note that not all of them are totally removed - but decreased. Some of the scripted ones will still be there. You can now access the 'No Jumpscare mode' in the menu. This will start as a new game.
Also this update should fix some issues again related to saving/loading, item bugs, fixed some setting issues and some other bugs.
Even though this is a 'temp' thing, but we may/may not leave it there. It depends on your feedbacks :)
PLEASE NOTE: STARTING A GAME ON 'NO JUMPSCARE MODE' WILL START A NEW GAME.
Here is a list of updated things:
- Added: New 'NO JUMPSCARE MODE' that will decrease the amount of triggers by more then half. This will still contain some jumpscares, mostly scripted ones but the random ones will be removed.
- Added: New sounds and effects have been made.
- Added: Some jumpscares were arranged and worked on.
- Fixed: Added the ambient occlusion in the graphics settings.
- Fixed: Bug that when the game ends, some triggers were still spawning (like jumpscares)
- Fixed: Bug where sometimes the loading did not appear.
- Fixed: Additional bug fixes related to spraying on walls.
- Fixed: Additional bug fixes related to the game.
- Fixed: Some objects that were flickering in the game scene.
- Fixed: Bug that some players had the game lagging a lot and huge frame drops.
- Others: Some heavy optimizations was done to the game, and now runs much better!
- Others: Some more bug fixes were done related to the spray gun, items, etc.
- Others: Some jump-scares from the original version were adjusted.
Game Patch: V0.5.7 is now live!
I would like to thank you as always for your support, suggestions and feedback. You're all amazing! Take care and have a good day. I hope you like this update!
