Hello everyone, this time we want to share the production progress of Siege of Dungeon. We aim to launch a demo at the Steam Next Festival in June. Thanks to your support, things are going smoothly so far.
Now, let me briefly describe the work we did in the previous months.
Art
We have been working on the art so long since the end of our Kickstarter project, here are our main updates:
1. Increase the number of original monsters

Enemies living in differnt biomes
We finished all the enemies, including their attack, death, or hurt animations. You will see the monster living in level 1, the settlement of goblins, in our demo version. But we promised that there will be plenty of new enemies waiting for you in our completed version.
2. Scene Art

Scene art
Besides, we are glad to have our new artist Fisk drawing dungeon scenes for us. Now, we can start our adventure in a more exquisite dungeon!
3. UI/UX

Battle UI
UI/UX is one of the weaknesses of our team and we tried our best to make our UI handy and clean. The UI you see in the demo version is much better than that in the Kickstarter preview.
Game mechanism
The enhancement of the game system takes us some time too. We are finally satisfied with the demo version after many trials.
1. Relics

Each relics brings different effects to your character
You can now collect assorted relics during your adventure in the dungeon. The power of previous challengers will combine and give you great help in your journey!
2. Battlefield
We designed a brand new system “battlefield system” to take the place of the “team system”. Characters nearby will join the fight on the battlefield.
We did many other modifications in our game too, for example:
-Reducing the map size of each level and increasing the total number of dungeon
-Removal of item system
-New interactable objects in dungeon, such as runestone and NPC
-Battle logic modification
-Event system rework
-Reward system rework
Eventually, thank you again for your great support in Siege of Dungeon. Our team is still immature and lacks experience, therefore we are so behind in our work. We have to apologize for our delayed schedule and update again, but we are still working hard on the production of Siege of Dungeon. Please look forward to our demo version.
Thank you for your great support.
