Hey everyone, I want to follow up on what to expect from the upcoming Secret Route update.
Initially, the Secret Route Ending should have just been an "alternative," like the Erlkönig section in Chapter 1 Court, something that should have been doable until end of November 2025 at worst.
But it turned out to be far more. I couldn't stop myself introducing two new important key characters, and I do not want to close this project without giving a proper resolution to all currently unresolved plot points.
In fact, I now consider this update to be Chapter 5 of TMH, considering its textbox count is already larger than Chapter 1's (4500 ish), with probably 4 hours of extra playtime.
There's more key art than all other chapters, and I decided to commission an extra soundtrack for the real final battle. A lot of love, pain, and hope went into this.
When?
I'm setting a deadline of May 18th to finish the beta (after that, all that should be left are the translations and fixing any bugs that may come up). As we all know, deadlines are made to be broken, but I'll try to stay productive anyway.
Once the beta is ready, you'll be able to test it with a code that I'll announce in an upcoming update post.
After the translations are complete, I will release the update on Steam. Then, I will focus on porting it to the Nintendo Switch version. After that, I will consider my work on TMH finished.
And I will try to rest a bit (or just play some more Mewgenics or something).
Thank you for your time, and for not losing patience with me.
