Hello, everyone. It's been a long time since my last "hello"!
We actually wanted to share the development progress with you all more often on Steam, but this got delayed as we have limited manpower (3 people in the whole team now), and we wanted to share more content at a time.
It's been three months since we released the first demo, and we've received much feedback and supportive play reviews about the game (Thank you!!). Much appreciate every message that was sent to us, and we are sorry that we were too busy and unable to reply to each of them.
The game development of WitchSpring R, which has been going on for a long period of two and a half years, has now been completed by more than 90%. The main story, environment, characters, items, systems, and other important parts have all been completed.
Now we are polishing the overall details of the game, and please allow me to share some of them with you in the last part of this note.
We are currently in the process of refining each chapter.
1) Related to UI / UX optimization
We've been focusing on UI / UX optimization for the past few months. We hope that everyone can feel that we've done our best when they see the official release version of the game. (We've received feedback on PlayX4 from players who played the first demo, saying the UI / UX has become more convenient and refined! ♥)
2) Related to localization and voice dubbing.
We have started to work on the localization of the whole story since last month. This title is expected to have about 250,000 words in Korean, so the localization and QA work alone will take at least one month. After the translation. We have to work on Korean and Japanese dubbing, so there are a lot of things to be prepared. This time we are working with a more professional new agency, hoping that we could present the game with better localization quality.
3) Related to adding platforms.
We are currently evaluating the work of porting the game to various console platforms and hoping to release the game on other console platforms soon after the PC release. One thing to mention is that we've recently run the latest version of the build on Steam Deck and found it very satisfying overall! For those who are looking forward to playing WitchSpring R on Steam Deck, I hope it is a little bit of good news.
4) Others
Finally, I'd like to share a little spoiler with you. If you look at the recent PlayX4 booth design in Korea, there are new characters that have appeared. Have you noticed? That's right. In this title, there are several new characters that did not exist in the mobile version of "WitchSprings"! WitchSpring R is the first PC title developed by KIWIWALK with new stories, new characters, and new systems. If you are curious about the information about the new characters, please keep an eye on DevNote updates in the future!

Next, I really wanted to show you!
1) New World Map
We have a new world map with multiple new features!
2) Teleportation via World Map
Now you can use the teleportation function directly on the world map. You can always move around the area conveniently if you are in a place where you can use teleportation!
3) New adventures with specific pets
With the help of specific pets, you can carve out new routes that can not be traveled on foot.
4) Improved dialogue UI
The screen where you can read past conversations has been redesigned, and now you can play the dialogue with voiceover too.
5) Improvement of the hunting function
You can hunt while riding a pet now!
6) Addind quick combat function
There is no need to bother with battles that end in overwhelming victories, allowing for faster game progress.
7) Quicker Turns
When the same monsters fight in the same pattern, they will take action at the same time!
8) Added the ability to have Black Joe run errands
Now Pieberry can have Black Joe run errands while she sleeps!
Besides what has been introduced, we've developed many more elements that make the game more playable, as WitchSpring R will have a lot of areas and content to explore. You can check the videos for more new content that has not been mentioned. Though there are still many things I want to share with you, it is better for you to discover them through your own gameplay in the future, right? ;)
Finally, about the release date and related plans...
We will share it with you again in the near future, so stay tuned!:)
