This is our first devlog of 2026. We took a short production break from December 21st, 2025, to January 4th, 2026.
During the week of January 5th to January 9th, 2026, we worked on the following features:
Horse Hairstyles
We’re finishing up the mane and tail models and textures, and we’ve also added a new Arabian mane variant.
Hair now comes in four different qualities: curly, wavy, straight, and rough. These variations are available for tails and the longer mane styles. Shorter styles like the shaved and short fluffy manes won’t use the different texture qualities.
The Arabian mane, however, supports all four hair qualities.
Another new feature: you’ll be able to cut the mane, tail, and forelock to your desired length. This can be done directly in the horse editor in the stables, or during horse creation.
On top of that, the long mane, Arabian mane, and short fluffy mane can now be split, allowing you to create even more unique looks.
Here you can see all four hair qualities in action. The forelock and mane can still be adjusted individually, just like before.
The forelock can’t be split, but it now comes with different styles: cut, natural, full, and styled.
The long mane includes the styles cut, natural, and full.
New Obstacles & Decorations
We created a variety of new cross country obstacles, available in different heights, as well as several new decorative elements for future cross country training and competitions.
New Dialogue System
With the new dialogue system, we aim to introduce more interactive objects into the world. These interactions display short text prompts that provide simple information, support environmental storytelling for specific objects or locations, offer hints, quests, and expand overall NPC dialogue.
